Short "pulses" or vibrations in my head all day?

It is hard to explain, but I feel short pulses of vibrations all the day in my head specially when I close my eyes deeply ..
I don't know, you can say it is like an electric current of very small voltage lasts for a 1/3 second with a slight buzz ..
I've witnessed vibrations and paralysed body few times before reading anything about OOB and I was very scared ofc.
Well, I'm depressed and I take some pills .. this usually happens when I stop taking them for a while .. So it might be the reason for this .. I don't know
Also, anybody thinks it is not good to experience OOB when you are depressed?

Thank you.

Well, from what I have heard, being depressed will affect the NPMR environment as you experience it, should you project while depressed. However, catch yourself in a good mood, and ODE in such mood, this will help projection.

As for your "pulses" thing... I'm not sure, I presume you've asked a doctor about this? If not, might be a good idea to. If they say you're fine... then something in NPMR must need you. I don't know, I get different vibes and anomalies to you. ;)

As for paralysed body... is it straight after you wake up? if so, then it looks like you are already halfwaythere to being able to OBE easily. Wish I was you right now in that regard... :D

Another thing too is that using drugs of any kind may impact any NPMR experience negatively, (i.e. it's not all that beneficial) of which might explain why not taking your anti-depressants sets off the electric pulse.

Also, as a side-note; what are you depressed about? :D

I asked a doctor , he has no idea.
And about depression, I guess being perfectionist and my work nature (very stressed most of the time) is the reason .. Nothing serious :)

The energy sensations you describe remind me of what I wrote in a portion of my first post here:

QuoteEnergy Sensation: Throughout most of my experiences I have been feeling an energy sensation which gets stronger the closer to sleep paralysis I become. I suspect they might be vibrations, however, I am also slightly doubtful of this because I also feel them when I am awake and I seem to be able to induce them at will.

It began on a particular night where I was laying on my side attempting to astral project. I didn't think I was very deep, most sleep paralysis symptoms hadn't kicked in yet and I was lucid but empty of mind. Suddenly I felt a physical jab in my lower spine. It was as if someone had taken two fingers and hit me forcefully. Instantaneously my entire body was flooded with an energy and vibration at a magnitude I had never felt before. It differed from vibrations I had felt in the past in that the sensation had extended beyond the shape of my physical body. I actually felt as if my entire body was an ethereal cloud, but in a reasonably uniform cylinder of perhaps 1 meter radius. The experience was shocking and even though I tried to relax into it, the sensation slowly waned as I became too engaged mentally.

These sensations are getting stronger and stronger in my body and they seem to intensify if I focus in the region of the 3rd eye."

I can elaborate on this to say that rolling your eyes back and attempting to move your etheric arms and legs will induce this. I think the feeling is a type of sensation "static" that is induced when you try to move your locus of sensation from physical to non-physical. If you get good enough at doing it the massive energy surge feeling that is induced can be close to enough to spontaneously transition.

Another related point of interest you can read about in the book "Vehram Etheral Array". There are a few posts about it on this forum. The basic idea is that there is an energy field with 6 nodal points around the body and that touching these with your etheric body can provide the energy required for a spontaneous projection. I can't figure out how to make this work for me yet.

I don't know whether much energy is really involved in this process or whether the feelings are just intense, but I also do Sungazing whenever I can. I can't rule out this as a contributor to the quality of energy sensation on the day.

Thaomas, your answer was great, I added my own technique to Vehram's method. One word of warning though, be careful not to roll your eyes back to far though. That could cause a bad headache. Learn from my mistake, lol!

I too awaken in bouts of SP. For the last year though I have become aware (awoken) just before it started. So, I could actually watch the entire process occur. First there is a "hyper awareness", then I hear the high pitch/Astral winds approaching. Next I feel a slight buzzing sensation, which quickly builds into a full blown sometimes violent vibration. Then it just stops and I feel something touch my feet. Then I feel my legs raising and the next thing I know I am exiting through my feet and jettisoning down my hallway and out my patio window into another realm. This entire process has occurred over and over again over the last two years now. Also, this occurs without any intent on my part. If anything my only thought is that I will go, experience and see whatever it is I need to. I just trust and enjoy the ride.

Here is a great thread on creating energy sensations. http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/welcome_to_astral_consciousness/how_exactly_do_you_perform_the_phantom_wiggle_method-t44583.0.html

Heh, heh... :D I've done that roll-eye mistake once, and that was purely due to how tired I was!

And I think the reason why it's real easy to induce such a sensation is due to the fact that the brain's balance can get thrown off by rolling your eyes back. Since the brain's equilibrium's confused, any "movement" your astral/etheric body makes is interpreted as actual movement, even if you're simply sitting in a chair... ;)
