Aah .. thanks for the link

that's interesting ... what I came up with from the link is that it might be my subconscious mind noticing that I am going into sleep paralysis and sort of fight against it ...

okay here's a question:

whats happens often to me is, when I'm on the border between awake & asleep, and the first dream images come up, I find my dream self stumbling over something or falling, and it startles me and wakes me up, often resulting in my legs or whole body physically shaking because it braces itself for the fall :)

Just yesterday I took a nap and observed myself falling asleep, suddenly this image of a short flight of stairs in a garden (me thinks) came up and I was just about to tumble or fall and it puts me back into consciousness with my whole body shaking for a second.
