Sounds like a classical OOBE, with the "Oh S***" fear reaction for an immediate return to the body.  Very common in the beginning.

My friend doesn't have an account here but she's going to get one soon.  In the meantime, she wants me to ask a question for her.

She's only just started trying AP and wants to understand something she did.  I asked her to explain it to me in detail and I'm onlu relaying what I've been told.  Okay, here goes.

She was lying in her bed and she ended up not being able to feel her body.  She said that her hands and feet began to vibrate really fiercly and she felt like she was getting heavy all of a sudden so tried to image floating up.  Apparently she kind of sat up, still with her eyes closed and looked at her feet.  She said they weren't her feet and somehow she saw herself from above before she said she 'slammed' back into herself and sat up.

I think it was a partial AP/OBE but I'm no expert in the field.  Someone else's advice please?
