What are these experiences called (happening to me every few weeks)?

I don't know if it's astral projection or a lucid dream.

It usually happens to me once a month to sometimes once a week a certain month or once every two weeks.

The last experience I had dealt with religious extremists arguing among each other then they either died or killed each other. Then I was in a scene where I was on a highway that connected countries around the world with each other (futuristic). I was then going to China from the US.

They usually happen when / either in a state of in-between sleep and awake. Or I'm a little or a lot asleep. It's always in the morning. But by the end of the experience I end up forgetting. I can never end up remembering the full experience.

Also it's very vivid like a real life emulation.

Thanks for the reply / information.

As what what i read from others and from my little experiences : P, it's all about awarness, how much u are aware of situation see examples below.

Dream - A normal dream which we all have every night (not realising that we are dreaming)
Lucid Dream - A dream in which we realise we are dreaming but still follow the scenario
Astral Projection - when you have full control of situation and u are fully aware ( you can do what ever u want, u don't have to follow scenario)

Hope what i wrote could be a part for your answer, if something i wrote is incorrect please mention it down bellow

Just to clarify, you dont have to follow the scenario. I never do. The moment I realize I am dreaming, I take full control. That's why it's very important to train ourselves to gain awareness and take control when we get the opportunity. That's why I do not distinguish LDs from APs.
Now regular dreams, I do, although I know they take place in the non-physical, in most cases they are a combination between thoughts from the previous day, fears, beliefs, etc. My dreams dont make sense most of the time and I do not pay attention to them. experiences with awareness though are very different to me. That's why I do distinguish dreams from APs. That's why we have this forum here, to teach how to gain awareness. Otherwise there will be no need of any teachings because everyone dreams.

So, luffy, you can answer your own question, just by knowing did you have awareness or not. If you did, then this was AP/LD, if not then this was a dream. Again, all three taking place in the non-physical. Sometimes dreams give us clues though, so do not underestimate them.

I've only had experiences with controlling it a few times. I only remember a few by heart. Maybe 85% and up I'm not in control. The other 15% I'm in control. It's like an emulator / video game. When I'm in control it's like playing a video game in HD either like an emulator (like those for ps2 or ps1) or like the new ps4. I've only had the AP experience one or two times. The other times other than that seem like the LD experience. If I experience it next time I'll try to remember / experiment (control it) more.

Edit:
I'm going to try a free book from a site called obe4u (you can google it I don't want to give a link because I don't know if it'll break the rules). I tried experimenting with the techniques from the book on this site and had a couple of LD'S that I could control. This was a couple of years ago. I also got the vibrations from trying what the author calls "indirect techniques".

Second edit:
I just read the second article. Some of what the writer of this article and the book from the site says are similar. He believes that AP/LD/OBES are all the same. He calls it "the phase".

I'll post more when I see a reply / have more experiences / do more research.

Hey luffy28,

the book "the Phase" is indeed a great book to learn how to have obe's in fast manner.

What you experience in the morning is the beginning of a obe but cause of insufficient maintenance the drop off into unconscious experiences. Read the maintaining part of the book "the Phase" and try to apply it to your experience it will help you greatly.

All the best

I think this can lead to confusion because the Ancient Ones teach that there really is a place/plane/region that is called the Astral Plane. But many people can project with a relatively high degree of control and yet never get close to that particular region.

Given that about 95% of OBE travelers never get to the astral plane (not to mention the realms above that) it is purely academic but I think it would be nice if the distinction could be made and agreed upon.

Also, of the few who do accidentally stumble into that realm, most are unable to make it back for repeat visits, so they begin to downgrade the early experience and glom it in with the rest.

That's assuming that one believes in such a hierarchical nature of reality.

I do not.

Some people say most of the people don't reach the 'astral realm' some say most of the people don't reach the 'real time zone' or 'physical realm' so which perspective is true?

Probably the one you believe in the most  :-)

Part of my perspective is that we're already existing within an "astral reality".
This physical reality being just another of an infinite number of such realities.

I don't think anyone has ever said that "most of the people don't reach the 'real time zone' or 'physical realm'".

From what  I remember from all kinds of systems, cosmologies, 'architectures' etc. of the nonphysical isn't that rather what is normally called the "mental" plane you are referring to? Just wondering.

I am not real sure what you are asking but I think, yes, sort of.
