An experience I had during meditation and trance work while trying to go to obe

Relaxed / tensed my muscles a couple of times (progressive muscle relaxation).

Then did eternal step visualization, then visualized fall into dark hole (this got a a weak to mid falling sensation).

Then did exit technique then my head felt like it was going forward while I had little electronic pulses throughout my body (like bouncing my head forward and backward).

Then nothing happened.

During the middle my whole body felt like it was being rained on from the inside, or having energy (electricity) run through it.

Is this how I'm supposed to AP?

What am I doing wrong?

Not deep enough and thinking too much. You need to trance down til you do not feel your body with a gentle focus away from your body. You have to be right at the edge of falling asleep without loosing your focus. practice in a chair til you get go completely numb in the body otherwise it's nap time.

I'm working on getting a chair. I've been doing the meditations on my bed.

Could you explain in more detail (or give me a weblink) on what to do?

Thanks.

In the book I'm reading the author says that I may not be using imaginary hands (which I also use to raise energy) enough. Or with more commitment could be the reason I'm not projecting out of my body completely.

The technique I'm trying to use is the tunnel technique from a website named in5d.

Should I try to feel my whole emulated astral body going through a tunnel like flying with both arms out front?

Thanks.

As long as your thoughts remain focused on this image, there should be no problems. Although the technique provided on In5d seems quite simple, like there hasn't been much thought about it,  the focus in the end is focus itself. Many people find it quite difficult to keep an image in mind, that is, a stillstanding image. A moving image on the other hand, is a bit easier. I would say, try it a few times. However, when you reach the border of sleep, you might shift to a brief unconscious state, whereafter you find the possibility to separate yourself from your body when you re-become conscious. The thing is, when attempting to focus on a(n) (moving) image, you find yourself going astray, coming back to that same image. How much times you fail to remain focused varies from person to person, but my point is that this repetition of "coming back" to the image will result in a "coming back" automatically (in a trance state) in the period when you become unconscious, that is, after a half hour to an hour. Repetition as in "coming back" to the image is important.

9/8/2015 - 12 mins out of 20 lasted (using a timer I couldn't last 20 mins).

Meditated like usual but focused on the blackness behind eyes. Saw a bunch of images like a movie. Then felt a part of my awareness [mind] was in another place.

I did this after reading a part of Xanth's book on noticing (that's the part I'm on). I wasn't like an astral projection / obe but like a mental dissociation.

Are there any other good books I could use in addition to that?

Thanks.

I used / followed a link from here http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/welcome_to_astral_consciousness/good_meditation_tape_for_phasing-t46114.0.html

Meditated / phased w/ astral projection binaural beats from youtube. Looked at darkness behind eyes then got a flash of very quick images.

Later got a feeling that my head was shaking physically couldn't tell if it was real or not.

Also my body felt like little rushing electricity was going through it.

I believe I was in a light trance.

I also at a point reached for the vibrations hence the reason why my head was shaking.

There was a medium ringing in my ears.

If I did the yoyo technique and the vibrations went all over my body. Should I have got up from my chair?

Would that most likely complete the exit?

Also I stopped at 13 minutes.
