Hey all, there's this question i want to ask   ,
I wanted to know if it's possible to... find your own reason for existence with astral travel.
I'm 16 years old at the moment and now would be a great time to seek for it, i do not want to be someone who doesn't have a purpose in life   .
I heard something about, higher beings or some kinds of gods out there, could i be possible for them to give me the most precious and valuable info that i need to live in a happy, bright and fulfilling life?

QuoteI heard something about, higher beings or some kinds of gods out there, could i be possible for them to give me the most precious and valuable info that i need to live in a happy, bright and fulfilling life?

The most precious and valuable info you'll ever get will be from within. Its great to ask questions and be open to varying reponses. But never make a life decision on what others say. Always go with what you believe you should do.

There are a bunch of different kinds of entities in the astral. Some of them will be more evolved than you and some of them will be less evolved than you. Its just like with people you meet in the physical. In the end only you can make your own decisions. And when you do, you will be responsible for them. So make sure you do things for the right reason.

And this isn't meant to sound trite, so if it does, I apologize in advance. But 16 is still very young. You've got at least another 60 years of life ahead of you. Instead of focusing on life purposes for some future time, it may be better to start with making the best of every moment you have right now.

Everything you do today actually builds your tomorrow. So even if you don't know what your life purpose is (and I think less than 1% of the world population really do), focus on what you know here and now. Its the small things you do each day that make you who you are and steer your life in certain directions. So even though you don't know the destination, if you live every day doing what you think is best, you will eventually be taken to your life's purpose. Your actions will lead you to where you should be. ANd along the way, the experiences you have getting their will be exactly what you need to prepare for it.
Reality is what you perceive it to be.

Yeah but what you're saying doesn't differ a lot from what i said, i said that i wanted someone else making the decision for me and what you're saying is almost the same. What you're saying is to let fate make my decisions, but you're right about one thing: The decision must come from yourself. But do not wait all you're life passively for something to happen, because it probably will not happen.

I disagree that finding your own purpose comes all from within. We are all shaped by what we believe in and the world around us.Most of the time our perception of things/world influences that supposed " point" of life.If someone is a Christian,Muslim etc-a religious person , his life will evolve around those values. Now what if these people somehow found out that their beliefs are not true, would they still believe in it????I doubt it. There- fore their purpose would change. I completely understand where the author of the post is coming from.If u can better understand existence/universe or  look for help from beings that may know more then you,it could help much more  in your choice.

Actually Sharpe, I'm not sure if you typed this wrong or not, but I am not advocating having others make your decisions for you. What I said was:

QuoteIts great to ask questions and be open to varying reponses. But never make a life decision on what others say.

However, I interpreted your initial post as saying you wanted another being to make your decisions for you, which is what you seem to be stating here as well:

QuoteYeah but what you're saying doesn't differ a lot from what i said, i said that i wanted someone else making the decision for me and what you're saying is almost the same.

That is definately NOT what I am saying at all. I love discussing varying topics with other people and other beings. I think you tend to live with a very limited view of life if you don't listen to other people and hear their experiences, thoughts, etc. This is a wonderful learning tool for all facets of life; inclusive of spirituality. In this way you learn more and expand your own views and beliefs. This is part of living and learning.

Taking others advice to do one thing versus another is fine. Just make sure that the responsibility for each decision is yours and not theirs. I think many people feel more comfortable having others make their decisions for them. I personally find that thought scary. Not just the thought of people making decisions for me, but the thought of other people willingly doing whatever their told to do. But maybe that's just me. I have always been one to listen, and then ask "why". I love the word 'why'.

QuoteWhat you're saying is to let fate make my decisions, but you're right about one thing: The decision must come from yourself. But do not wait all you're life passively for something to happen, because it probably will not happen.

Actually that's not what I said. Maybe what I wrote wasn't very clear

QuoteInstead of focusing on life purposes for some future time, it may be better to start with making the best of every moment you have right now.

I meant to not keep focusing on the future. The only way to get from here to wherever you are going is one step at a time and one day at a time. The best time to start working towards you purpose in life is to start doing things today to take you there. I wouldn't call this fate though. I call this creating your future.  Fate is going about your business and expecting things to happen to you at some point. What I am advising you to do is follow your heart and do what you feel drawn to do.

QuoteYour actions will lead you to where you should be. ANd along the way, the experiences you have getting their will be exactly what you need to prepare for it.

Not sure how else to phrase this for you.

Wanderlei:

QuoteNow what if these people somehow found out that their beliefs are not true, would they still believe in it????

I would certainly hope that it changes. If you look around you, your beliefs and thoughts change daily. Sometimes its only little things, sometimes its little things that eventually add up to something larger. And in the few rare instances you are fortunate enough to have an epiphany that totally re-shapes your life and beliefs. I absolutely agree with what you say on this part.  However, it all comes back to your beliefs and your decisions. The author has written twice that they want someone else making their decisions for them, I am simply cautioning them against doing so, which I think you are saying as well when you state:

QuoteIf u can better understand existence/universe or look for help from beings that may know more then you,it could help much more in your choice.

If you read my response to Sharpe you will see that I completely agree that listening to others is critical to growing and learning in every aspect of life, not just spirituality. However, the person who ultimately needs to make the decision about anything they do is the individual themselves, not another being, regardless of how "evolved" they appear to be to you.

Perhpas I am splitting hairs in my responses. My sole focus on my responses was simply to offer caution about blindly following someone else's advice because they are an entity. I would say the same thing whether we are talking entities from the astral or your priest or rabbi or guru or whatever else you may have.

Collecting information and learning from other's experiences are wonderful learning tools. Just make sure that the decisions you make are because you want to make them and not because you think someone else knows better. If their advice is sound and feels right to you, then absolutely follow it. But if you follow it because of who or what the being is, and are not quite sure you are doing the right thing, or you don't understand what or why you are doing something, then I think you will have problems. That is all I am saying.

Sorry if I confused anyone.

I think I understand what Novice is trying to say. There may be other people out there with some wonderful advice, but it might not apply to your situation. Another person/being may think it knows what's best for you, with totally good intentions. But that might not be what you need to do, and only you can know for sure by looking inward.

Several years ago when I left home, my parents gave me all kinds of advice that I didn't take. It was hard not to. I felt a lot of pressure from them. But when I looked inward, it didn't seem to fit. It caused a lot of stress, but I'm glad I stuck with my own intuitions. I know now that I did the correct thing, and it helped me understand my own self and decisions. And learn about being independent.

In my life, the best advice has always came from within.
