Hey Guys,
I'm new here and I just want to say hello and introduce myself again, I'm very excited to get to know all of you.
Just yesterday, as the sun was shining at it's brightest (a rarity here in Ireland) I woke up in the trance state.
Normally when I'm in sleep paralysis I can't see anything, but this time I saw the whole room as I would if I was awake.
I was trying to release my hand from my body or move out of myself when I hear a very friendly feeling voice call my name.
I do not know who this was but my shock and (I confess) panic at the idea of finally meeting a potential spirit guide sent me into hyperventilation and I was woken up.
My question is:
How do you find the courage to leave your body in general?
and when there is something there with you how do you find the courage to communicate?
Many Thanks. :-)
Welcome!! I guess it depends what you want to go there for. I am looking for something very important to me.. I would be willing to die trying :-)
Finding the courage to do something isn't really a question anyone can fully answer completely. You have to give yourself courage by your own personal means. When something odd occurs (like someone calling your name), switch the panic button off and instead replace it with mere interest in finding out who called you and why. Fear is something that will only hold you back if you let it control you.

Hi there JPKING!
Likewise!
It's nice to meet you too. Welcome to the Astral Pulse! :)

My question to you then is... how do you fall asleep each and every night to dream?
I believe that the dream state is the astral... so you've been doing it each and every night and just haven't realized it.
So knowing that, there's no need for courage... you've been doing it all your life. :)

Hi, JPKING.

I imagine it could be a shock if indeed this was the case, but if you do have a spirit guide, you've had 'it' all your life, so the idea of meeting (him/her/it) can be interesting, but doesn't happen usually until you are ready for it.

First, I will confess that I've been doing it since I was a child, so I know it's safe. However, in my estimation, you don't leave your body 'in general'- you expand your energy enough to refocus your energy body off the physical, and once you've done this, it's a matter of how 'far' you can go with your conscious awareness. Your animating essence never leaves your body and your conscious awareness only refocuses it's 'direction', so to speak.

That is a whole 'nother ball of wax. Usually you don't, until your subconscious mind is sure you can handle it. It is my opinion that most of your first 'contact' experiences are actually simulations run to get you used to the idea (by self-aspects), and once you're psychologically ready, you get the opportunity. Of course, opinions may (and will) vary.
