Title: First Conscious OBE
Post by: Sagar on October 02, 2014, 15:27:03
I meditated for a while and delved into a very deep trance.  And for the first time I could feel my arms swinging around outside my body.  Quite weird actually, my elbows were swinging up and down like a chicken.

You know how you don't notice yourself start to fall asleep, but all of a sudden you "pop" back into waking consciousness?  It was kind of like that.
I don't remember phasing at all.  I don't remember being consciously aware of it.

But all of a sudden "pop!" I was conscious looking down at my body laying there in bed as I was rising up into the ceiling.  After that - nothing.  That's all I remember.  Must have been the RTZ.

So I'm of course very excited about my first ever conscious projection - and must give a whole-hearted thank you to everyone on the Pulse who helped me achieve such an amazing feat

And I must say my experience really spoke to the phasing concept.  There was no energy raising or projection techniques with pulling on a rope or anything.  Just kind of slipped out of body.  I don't know if I felt heavy vibrations or vertigo during the phase because I couldn't remember the actual exit but that's quite alright.  Really too bad I don't remember anything after rising into the ceiling..

I only wonder what breath taking places I must have explored last night...

That's great Sagar! Well done and congrats!!!

In many of our early obes, we miss the initial transition and have brief experiences. Just know that you will spend a little more time NP each time you make the transition. Be ready to 'ground' yourself by maintaining your lucidity and staying calm and observant. Grounding can include asking for 'clarity', touching and holding any object in your local vicinity, even spinning in place or looking at your hands...you're looking to stabilize your consciousness in this new dimension. Also, having a clear Intent is important: to go somewhere or to visit someone or to have a lesson; I know that's not easy when an OBE just happens unplanned, but it's something to be aware of. There are many 'options' you will become aware of and add to your mental repertoire.  :-)

Also, be sure to take a good meditative minute to thank all those NP personalities that probably helped you with this: any Guides and your Higher Self. Reinforce the idea that this is what you want to experience and learn from. This can be an important communication to maintain.

Nicely done!

Thank you Soarin  :-)

Grounding by being calm and observant.  Got it.  I've been working on that here on Earth too.  Trying not to get too excited about things.  It's like the term "practice like you play."
Having a clear intent - that's something I didn't have.  I had no purpose, no plan nor preparation.  That will be something for the future.

I did take a minute to thank my spirit guide and higher self the morning after  :-)
Thanks EscapeVelocity  :-)

Grounding by being calm and observant.
This is ALWAYS a good idea, ALL of the time.
Grounding and centering yourself is probably one of the best things you can learn to do.

It's also not something you do "once in a while" or "before meditation"... you should ALWAYS be grounded and centered mentally and emotionally.
This allows you to keep yourself under control.

It seems like a very good way to be.  Not letting emotions ever take control here, or letting emotions take control "there" either.  Too much fear could cause trouble, and too much excitement could end the projection.
Thanks Xanth  :-D

Don't be worried about not remembering details of your transition. Everyone has their own way of phasing. I have never projecedt by feeling vibrations, thought I do feel like I am slowly falling.

It makes me wonder really.  Why would be dreams be so much easier to remember if they really are projections themselves.    :?

I've run into something interesting. I am having dreams relatively vivid ones. Upon awakening I am told that I had astrally projected and what the encounter was about. So dreams and projections are not so far apart.
