I met my parents but dont know where

Hi all,

I am projecting regulary some years ago. Yesterday I had a projection in which I met my parents. I showed up in our old house, where we are not living anymore since 1990. I suppose the environment was a creation of myself, because the house doesn't exist nowadays.

When I saw my father, he looked abstracted and he didn't notice me. However, my mother replied when I asked her, but she still looked weird. At that time, my parents were sleeping in their own new house.

I am nearly sure they were sleeping and for some reason I met both at the same time. But what about the scenery? Was it my creation or a someone's creation? Their construction?

I would be grateful for opinions from anyone.

I take it you mean your parents have passed away and you saw them?  I am really interested in this because my parents passed away and I would give anything to talk to them again.  I just started reading a lot about OBE's, but I read a lot about near-death experiences right after they passed away.  I had never heard of OBE's until I was traveling lately and listening to a radio show and a talk show was interviewing some man and he was talking about OBE's. It really caught my attention when he said that when you dream you are flying, it is real, and then he talked about how your body will sometimes be paralyzed.  Both of these things had happened to me and I had no idea what was going on.  They were both so real, though, I always thought they were very different experiences from just a dream.

I haven't tried any OBE's yet, mainly, because I'm afraid to.  I figured I'd read more about them first and some of things I have read have scared me a little.  As I recall, something was chasing me when I had the paralyzing experience and I couldn't get back into my body.  But I have got to do this so I can maybe talk to my mom and dad.  You said your mom spoke to you, but you didn't say what she said.  Could you tell us a little bit more about your experience?

First of all, I want to say you must not be afraid of OBEs. There is nothing to afraid of. I usually astral project and it is 100% safe. I think it is the most important tool a human being can develop.

I have met defuncts, deceased people, several times, so I say YES it would be possible to meet your parents. But what it happened to me was that I met my parent's astral bodies in another plane while their physical bodies were sleeping, I suppose. They are physical alive. What I wonder is about the scenery around, which I guess it was my creation or their creation.

From the context of your story I'm getting that your parents were sleeping at the time you were dreaming or projecting.  Is this right?
It is common for people to dream about a place they used to live in.  I dream about my old bedroom, all the time.  Sometimes it looks like it did when we lived there, and sometimes it looks completely different, possibly how it looks now.
It is possible, if your parents were sleeping at the time you visited there, that they were there (unconsciously) and you projected into their dream, or you projected there, but you were  conscious and they were asleep.

I agree with CFTraveler on this one. When I'm very lucid while asleep, I can easily connect with people, whether they are living or deceased. I have met my sister (twice) and my one friend (about a dozen times now) and they both are still alive. My sister is not too interested in this stuff, so she doesn't try to remember dreams or anything; which makes verifying with her difficult. I've only been able to verify, through her, two visits. Both times, I 'went' to her and what I perceived as the surroundings was what she had dreamt of the night before.

As for my friend, she's much better at working with consciousness. She and I easily 'hook-up' with each other and the details of the experiences are almost always identical. So I know it is possible.

The one thing people get confused with, though, is the whole concept of time zones and both parties being asleep when the experience occurs. This is NOT necessary. Time is a physical construct. When dreaming or doing anyting in higher levels of consciousness, time is irrelevant. Half of the experiences with the friend I described above occurred when she was 6 hours ahead of me. The remaining times have occurred when she was 3 hours behind me in time zones. The person does not need to be asleep at the time you have the experience. They will perceive the experience as occurring during their own sleep cycle, even if it occurs (to you) as happening when they are at lunch that day -- I've had this happen about 5 times.

Pretty confusing, huh?

I'm not clear on the mechanics behind it all, I just know that time is irrelevant for meeting people. Of course, the catch is whether or not the people you meet with are aware enough to remember the dream upon waking. If not, you could meet with them and never be able to verify it because they don't remember.

Sometimes, when i find myself in obe, i just seem to open my eyes and out i am.
In one particular case, i open my astral eyes, out of the blue and i sense something above my head, for no particular reason i think 'Kevin's mum,
then a voice speaks and says, 'so, you dont know who this is do you?'

I instantly recognised the voice, it was my mother  .
I called out ' oh mum its you'!!!!!. 
Then returned to my body in shock lol

Kevin's mum and my mum have both passed away.

Another obe i had, i found my mum in the astral, and i was so excited and asked her if she could see me?

She said, yes, but can you see me? lol

This is exactly the sort of thing I had in mind when I started the Validation thread.  Novice, I wonder if you would be willing to post some of your validation experiences?

Hi Catmeow, I wrote this in another topic:

In one of my projections, some years ago, I decided to go to visit my parents' house, which is 15 km far awy. It was 10:00 in the morning. I overflew my city, following the way to the hose of my childhood. I could recognize all the details, the highway, the fields...

When I arrived the house and I went into it, I see my mother cooking in the kitchen. I tried to call the attention but she did not react at all, like she couldn't see me.

Later, I went to my sister's bedroom. In that time, she was still living there, but in that moment she should have been working in the office. I checked all was normal in the room. She wasn't there, as I expected. Some thing attracted my attention. There was a paper on the table. I approached to it and I could see it was like a note. I had many problems to read it (like usually reading something out of the body). But at the end I was able to understand what It said: "PRESENT FOR _____ (my real name)"

More things happened, but to summarize I went back to my body and made a decision: I would go physically to my parent's house to check all those things. I did it, what it took twenty minutes, and my mother was there, in the kitchen cooking. I say hi and I went into my sister's room, very thrilled. There was a note on the table, exactly like the one I saw being out of the body, which said: "PRESENT FOR _____ (my real name)". Then I imagined she was thinking in my birthday, that would be in two weeks.

I think it is a perfect validation of an out of the body experience.....
