Hey everyone.. I'd appreciate any tips, or suggestions.. I'll try and make a brief overview of my progress.
I've been trying to ap for about 2 months. I've had two spontaneous, one with bad vision, the second was good vision but
it was short. That was over a month ago, both were early morning, the first had no exit sensations, but re-entry sensation. The second
I heard a buzzing (like a bee flying near my ear), then like a soft pop and I was out. I also had re-entry sensations
Currently, my MO is
1. Get comfortable and start relaxing.
2. Focus on breathing. Start by stacking breath counts.. e.g. inhale 1 second, exhale 1 second, inhale 2 seconds, exhale 2 seconds.. all
the way to 10, then back down to 1.
3. By this time I'm very relaxed, and in a good trance. Sometimes I may snore.. (that was the wildest thing hearing myself snore fully conscious!!! LOL. It caught me totally off guard.). So I'll start a mantra like.. exhale "relax", inhale "float" which will start mini vibrations kicking in. I'll think "float" because I learned in my first obe, thought is everything. I thought "stand" and I moved to standing position. I thought, "am I floating?" (as in above my body), and I felt myself lifting up through the ceiling!
4. This is where it gets tricky for me. I've been trying different exit techniques. The rope doesn't really work for me. Trying to turn is good, I get really heavy vibrations, and feel like I'm going to pop out. But then I notice I start to tense up and have to focus on relaxing again... essentially starting back over. I've tried horizontal spinning (trying to move from head to foot where belly button is center axis),
which is ok, but don't seem to get far. Just now I felt like I was on the verge.. I made up(?) an exit method where I visualize ropes coming from the ceiling, and when I exhale I think "pull", as if to pull my body out.. and it felt like I was on the way out! I even started to get a tingling sensation on my chest (like an exit sensation I got from my spontaneous).

Some other related notes: When I have to relax again after a failed attempt, a heavy relaxed sensation in my mind occurs. If I follow it
I feel like I'm going to sleep, or that a huge headache is coming on but one never does, then a I "emerge" into a more awake type of consciousness. As if I took a nap and woke up. My eyes fill with brightness, and I want to open my eyes, sometimes I do slightly by accident.
What's weird, the brightness is brighter than the light in the room. Almost as if a light bulb is in front of my face.

Lately feel shifting like I'm in an earthquake or waterbed, and internal movement I guess you could say..

I feel like I'm getting real good at getting to a good state, last night I laid down and within a couple minutes I had a hypno jerk!!

appreciate any thoughts! :)
Thanks!

You are doing everything properly according to the techniques found here. It is only a matter of time. Practice, practice, practice. I personally don't care for the getting up out of the body thing, it focuses too much on the body. Try doing everything you are currently doing, then just passively start to notice any changes. Make sure that you write about it too, you need to find out what does and doesn't work for you.
As to the brighter light, when I come out of the Phase, all the lights seem brighter in the house. It seems like everything is more colorful as well. The head pressure is from activating your 3rd Eye. Sometimes I have the head pressure for days. It is most likely an extreme build of energy in that area that becomes trapped. I have read that you can relieve this pressure by focusing on sharing it will the entire body.
Hypno jerks are a major pain in the butt when you are trying to Phase. But, they happen. When they do I just stop the session and go do something else.

You're a feeler and hearer instead of a seer. That's what I am too. You've already answered your question when you said "I heard a buzzing (like a bee flying near my ear), then like a soft pop and I was out." I think I've even used the exact same terms somewhere in the past describing my own experiences.

Stop visualizing (seeing stuff in your head) completely, it will hamper the process for your type. You'll want to start off with a feeling technique. Swaying back and forth in your body, feeling yourself climbing a rope (imagine the texture, the climbing up but try not to actually see it), feeling yourself fall down in an elevator, falling up, moving your energy body up, down, left, right, whatever feels right.

The above will get you ready for the projection. After a few minutes of the above you may start hearing the buzzing noise in your head, if you don't try to remember what it sounded like and recreate it (it's easy with practice). Only focus on this buzzing noise, follow it, slowly make it louder and focus only on it. Your thoughts will naturally melt away. Pretend that this buzzing is like approaching a bright white light and as it gets louder and louder realize it is actually the sound of your consciousness separating from your body.

Do not try to start doing random techniques at this point. Just focus on the buzzing, become one with it. The vibrations should hit you like a tidal wave at this point (and not before) pump all your energy and willpower into ripping away from your body. Edit: Alternatively it's probably better to just keep making the buzzing noise louder and louder until you just pop out, this is what I do now, but at first I had to force it through sort of a brute force. You're tensing up because you know you're about to have a projection so the adrenaline starts pumping. You start saying things to yourself like "Stay Calm" and so on. It's really hard to explain, I project by a feeling, like peeing. Try manually speeding the vibrations and the ringing noise up in your head to a higher frequency until it's going so fast that you shift into a higher plane. That's the best I can do to explain it. If it still fails try doing random techniques, like feeling the rope, or feeling your body sway -- you only have a 15 second window when the vibrations are the most strongest that you can consciously project. As you get more experienced you only need tiny vibrations to roll out.

Now the important part, write this down. RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN away from your body as soon as you are out even if you're blind! It will feel like you've gotten out of bed in your physical body and still have your eyes closed, have no fear! If you're doing it in your bedroom, leave the door open or be okay with going through it -- you need about 15 feet or so. Practice while in your body (slowly so you don't hurt yourself) with your eyes closed to learn where you need to go when you're out.

Why run away? I have no idea, but for me I wasn't able to see or stay out long unless I moved away (the first few times anyway). Also when you get out practice breathing in energy like air to extend the projection.

Lastly if you still have problems developing sight then practice visualization exercises.

Okay so this is visualization, but really who can't visualize white light. Come on.

I think the point you are making is to not put so much emphasis on the visual sense. It's still there, like all of the senses are but you are saying that the person should emphasise their strengths (hearing and feeling) but at the same time not completely discount the other senses. Transference of sound wave senses into a white light should aid the weaker sense of sight if the person continues to place emphasis on the sound during the transference. It's an ALL MIND thing, not just a small section mind thing.. so that includes all the various sensory input and output.

Hi, thanks for the replies....
I've started focusing on core relaxation skills.. A little stretching and tensing to
bring focus on muscles so I can isolate problem areas.

Lionheart; I agree, the journal is important. I'll try a technique through different types of scenarios to see where it
is most effective. e.g. rope in the morning, noon, and night. Then another in same sequence.
I did discover this through some trial and error and then stumbled on info that backs up my thoughts... The most effective pattern for
me so far is having to wake up early 5:20am, then have a iced tea, or cup of coffee (not too strong) about 7:30am. Around 9, 9:30 I'll
feel tired and attempt to phase. I started reading Bruce's MAP, he mentions caffeine to help keep the mind awake, while
doing the routine. And I'd have to agree on it being effective, because my body is tired, and easily relaxed, while my mind is going just
fast enough to stay awake, but not too fast where I lose focus. Whereas, if I do it in the evening I'm tired and usually fall asleep. In the morning it may be 50/50 on staying awake and falling back to sleep.
A couple other anecdotes, I tried using binaural beats with an iphone app (astral dreams). Brown noise with astral 1 about half the volume.
At about 15-20 minutes I had huge vibrations! Felt like I good progress getting near exit...
Then I got sick(flu), took medication and it totally hosed me. Couldn't get into a trance, vibrations, visualisations.. ugh it sucked!
I also started listening to the iso tracks (DJ Vinish) you posted. As they get me very relaxed, some tracks bring on vibrations and falling feeling. I'm going to try making a play list starting with Dj Vinish to get deep relaxation, then transition to a binaural track to top it off.

Steel Hawk; Thanks, I'll try focusing on the sounds. I've been looking "outward", and I sometimes start thinking about the position of my eyes, and relaxing them which gets me off track. I do get excited LOL. I can feel my heart racing and I can't wait! :) It was actually the cause of my first projection to end prematurely. I was floating up, and I stopped to look around, and realized I'm OUT!!! I yelled "woooohooo" and tried straightening my body (tensing up) like superman with hands at waist so I could take off! Well as soon as I did, the tension in my leg jerked my physical and I came crashing down
to my body.

Thanks again for the comments.
