Ap Friends,

Anyone here try to eat or drink during a oobe? Once, I was able to lick the top of a marbled cut stone and tasted the dust.

i have only eaten once in the astral.  I ate a large ham sandwich off of a cart full of them in a cafeteria setting.  I looked at them and thought "hell... why not?" and grabbed one.  As soon as I bit into it I gained so much lucidity it was insane.  I lost all touch with my physical body and made a full transition.  It tasted very faintly like ham and I just sort of laughed and put it back on the tray.

Knightlight,

Maybe next time, try eatting a new york strip steak or prime-rib.

I also wonder about drinking - if one was to would the liquid actually drain out from the stomach region..

I do think these would be interesting little experimnets.

When I drink water in the astral I can never satisfy my thirst. It's like drinking air.

I know this is going to sound silly, but I'm being 100% serious.

I had a lucid dream a couple nights ago, and in this dream a person farted, and it REEKED. I was so surprised how intense the sense of smell was, so I held my breath second time around.

I was going to keep that one to myself, but the topic came up...

David Warner

Stookie,

When the person farted in the dream - were you able to see the gas vapor?  Its interesting to see that you were able to smell with your senses...

No I couldn't see it, but... God, this sounds so ridiculous ...I could feel it. The person purposefully directed the fart towards me, and I could both feel wind and smell the stank. They did it a 2nd time, but I was ready and held my breath. It ended about then.

When I woke up I didn't feel gassy, but I did have a black-bean burger for dinner.

Don't ask me why, but I licked a window pane once whilst out of body.  It tasted... just like a window pane would.  Cold, hard, smooth and tasteless

I've also tasted lemongrass in a dream.

Stookie - that's hilarious, if a tad unusual!  :rotfl:

Seleski,

Thats cool and interesting! At least you were able to compare the reality of the astral/physical to the sensation. Although, we could also argue the fact that maybe it was your mind creating the sensation. Did you lick window panes a lot when you were younger, maybe too many paint chips..:) j/k

I would like to once try to eat a veggie, maybe a steak or light up a cigar.

  No, I can't say I licked window panes when I was younger.  I was relatively normal back then.

There is the possibility that the mind creates what it thinks the sensations would be.  It would be interesting to taste something that you've never tasted before.  And then taste it physically, to compare.  The trouble is, even then, I think your mind could still come up with some sort of comparison.  Perhaps tasting the moon (but would it taste of cheese?    )  or tasting a star might be obscure enough, although how on earth do you go about validating that...?

Perhaps eating a buttercup.  But I still think the mind would interpret what you expect to taste (grassy, earthy, slightly perfumed taste?).

Hi ho.

Ap Friends,

What about watching people eat in the Astral? Most of the time that I'm out I don't see people eating nachos, drinking a cold one.

I tried what looked like a chewable vitamin C tablet in the astral and it had some taste.  One time during a LD I was hit in the face with a shovel and there was a strong taste of blood in my mouth.

Hello, this is my first post here.  Last night during a semi-lucid dream, I was in a party setting and someone handed me a plastic bag filled with ecstasy (I have never tried it in real life).  They were molded into little plastic 3D animals, tigers, giraffes, and things.  My friend said take three and this is when the dream became more lucid and I was feeling extra fond toward the other dream characters.

Astral Projection - have you read up on DMT?  That one would blast you right to 4th focus

moodinfiniti,

I've had dreams like that where I'm boofing a joint and the effects of the thc start to kick in. Although, I question if it's all mental than actually the effect of thc.

Heheheeeee!

Allot of funny replies.

I had this LD along time ago on lsd.
I was walking in to this house that was getting smaller with every step I took. I turned in to this room and saw a clock. It was one of those Big Ben clocks that have the bells on top and legs.

Anyway, the clock had a face, human like. It was smiling at me almost an evil kind of grin. The clock then started to walk to me. I stood still and watched it till it got right beside me.
It then bit my leg. I tried to shake it off like you would a small dog. I then woke up.

MFInsane,

Maybe you ran outta of time with the clock..:) ( i know lame).

Yeah, I've had weird dreams like that before - not in the context of the clock/human face.
