What is a good binaural beat for projection?

I mean... preset-wise. Acquiring the application is of no concern, but I'm in need of a good, calming (and preferably not creepy sounding) preset for projection. Also, how loud (or quiet) should I play the tones (through my headphones, that is.)?

And also... I heard something about how they work better if you try to control the tones? What's that all about? :-D

Hey donzie, I figured I'd answer your question here instead of pm. I'm using this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t8eSuZ71S8k along with 5 sequential vids (minus part 2 because of a horrible noise in the beginning.) I've been using them for a while now and they still help me attain trance quite efficiently. I converted them onto my ipod through vidtomp3.com.

Loud enough to be immersed in them but not so loud that you're uncomfortable, I'd say.

I may know what you're referring to. When I focus purely on the frequencies, the sound becomes somewhat distorted and my energy body becomes in sync with said frequencies.

Thomas Campbell recommended 4Hz beat frequency with various carrier frequency depending on preference. I think he said females preferred a higher freq than males, in general.

This practice is to improve the meditative state, though. Not to project. I am not aware of a beat frequency that has been found to help with that.

The minimum volume is very low, just loud enough to be heard. But louder is okay and I personally like it a little louder to help drown out house noise as I try to relax and focus.

Lexy,

That does sound quite interesting. I'll have to give it a try soon.

Sorta related to this question is something I think is worth contributing here...

Whenever I listen to binaural beats I get this intense pressure inside my skull and I have to stop listening because it is almost painful, but better described as unbearable.

Also, I've heard of people getting that pressure inside their skull and it stays with them for long periods of time (or sometimes even permanent), so if it happens it's probably a good idea to stop .

Anyway I'm probably a minority here so just keep it in mind I guess.

Interesting... Though that has never happened to me. :-D

Worst I have had is a bit of a pulsating sensation after. The mistake people make is trying to keep the tone louder in order to amplify the effect. My suggestion is keeping it where it just audible. I have never achieved an OBE with binaural beats but have definitely done deep meditation and have had some exhilirating experiences. I think it was kundalini chakra, but I've actually had my chest rise off the bed involuntarily (not in the OBE sense), my physical body tugging to the point of an almost adrenaline rush. Be careful... When your in that state you have enhanced energy sensitivity.
