Hemi Sync Meta Music does it correspond to focus levels?

Hi I have recently been using the Hemi Sync MetaMusic CD 'The Dreaming Gate' which is great and very relaxing with nice music on and I was wondering if these CDs are intended to entrain the user to any in particular of the focus levels which Monroe discovered?

hello OO7,

From what I remember, the series that are dedicated to specific focuses are the "Gateway series". But according to Monroe, the alpha state (which we are currently in) is an F1 (focus 1)...beta (dreamlike state) is F3 (I think )...and so on...so yes the MetaMusic CD 'The Dreaming Gate' could get you into one of the lower focuses (from what I remember it's a very "soft" CD) but if you want to get any higher you should try the Gateway or similar...or...just shift your conciousness big time

Hi thanks for your answer do the Gateway CDs have sound effects/music on them or are they just the binaural sounds?  I was considering trying them but I find binaural sounds on their own very boring to listen to.

Hi,

yes, the Gateway is "binaural", but you are being led by the voice of Robert Monroe himself. It's a very nice combination, his voice is very calming, while as the sounds themselves are quite spaced out. I'm not surprised that you get bored, but remember that the idea here is to shut the mind off, and go with the flow. When you do that (Monroe guides you less and less with each CD) you suddenly open up to many amazing experiences. Personally I've never OBE'd WHILE listening to the cd's, but I was able to do it almost 9 out of 10 times AFTER listening to them (after 5-10 minutes). Hemi Sync is a wonderful tool to get used to "strange" feelings on the path of projecting.
