Hi guys, I am new here...this is my first post...
Has any of you reach the mental plane yet?
As far as I know the experience of moving into mental plane is as dramatic as moving into astral plane from physical plane.
My question is how do we reach to the mental planes (i.e. mental projection)? Are there any specific techniques ?
Does the transition happen from astral plane or you can directly move to mental plane from physical plane.
Thank you...

How do you know?  According to who?

Who says it's like that?

From my personal experience I would say one of the better methods is to do what it takes to make a serious effort to reach above the Atmic Realm -- then sometimes fall short and land in the Mental realm.

I believe the transition can happen from wherever your location might be, physical, astral or other.

bonk the focus levels, don't bother with those. Rudolph is correct, get used to the other levels than while in those, move to another.

Let me mention shortly one experience of mine from which I concluded that 'the planes' are real (and btw, I think you can match them roughly to focus levels, that's why I believe there is no real reason for any further quarrel on this topic here):

So once I was rising up into the 'astral sky', which I did (and do) not manage to do often, because normally some kind of 'astral gravity' keeps me on the ground ... unfortunately.

When I arrived (seeing just grey-white fog first when I was going up) I was on the mental plane where also many libraries and educational facilities are said to be situated. Later, I asked K. Leland (book author on AP) on the AD forum about it and he confirmed to me that it was the Mental plane and Mental body I was in. The location was a huge library/university-kind of place, and really nice, with nice people, somehow familiar to me which I could not explain to myself further. It also all 'felt' so enormously different from the darker 'astral' zones.

So, as regards 'technique' in order to get there: it was just a flight upwards for me combined with the firm intention to 'reach a higher level'. Of course I know it is not 'upwards' as spacetime does not exist 'in the astral'. But we as humans possibly have built these environments as (quote Th. Campbell) 'metaphors' to interact with each other in a kind of (quote Buhlman) 'consensus environment'.

That's why I believe (from my own experience as you can see) that the planes-structure, as reflected in the Eastern / theosophical and other cosmological esoteric systems, is indeed correct! To say it is 'belief' does not matter for me here, because I'm convinced that (collective human) 'belief' creates or created these reality structures and consensus environments (such as BSTs, too).

One more interesting and 'dramatic' aspect regarding the transfer from one plane to the other:  When I 'faded' from 'up there' I was not directly re-entering my physical body / waking up. Instead, I kind of 'crash-landed' back into my astral 'portal' (where I very often exit/phase into as a starting point). It was a really severe and hard 'impact'. I'd never crash-landed like this before or after. I did not get back there so far, but of course I plan to return there one day.

I quote from my journal:
"Then the seemingly unavoidable happens, I start to 'wane'. I see him smile at me, then the picture vanishes.
I am back in my "portal". But I really 'slammed' back, something I'd never experienced before. (As if I had more 'impact' force falling down from the height of this 'higher plane'). I'm clinging to the wall (almost like a spider) and of my childhood bedroom, still shaking up-down a while, as if I had to 'absorb shock' the 'landing' from that place 'on high'. It is dark in the room. Then I wake up in physical reality with my usual PREES (post reentry electricity sensations)."

That really was a hard landing (of my astral/energy body?) which I will never forget.

This place was indeed "higher" (in vibration? frequency? plane? dimension? focus? ...). And my hard return proved to me that I was some"where" for which I was not yet fully equipped. Not yet ... but hey, after all, I'm still a newbie and eager to learn

Hmmm...I will read him...similiar to Monroe's phase approach?

With all due respect, I don't think you were in the mental plane. As far as I know, all higher planes have their replicas in the astral plane so most probably you were visiting the mental plane replica in the astral plane. In the mental plane, there are only thoughts, concepts, and perceptions...Even mathemtaical equations like 2+2=4 manifest itself as formations of energy. Astral plane is the realm of desires/fears and mental plane is the realm of thoughts. There should be no structures like universities etc...I might be wrong tho...When you are in there, you should have no desire or fear or any sort of feelings. You can reach mental plane once you renounance your desires and eliminate all your fears. In order to reach even higher, even above the mental plane, one has to leave the perceptions and duality concepts  (i.e. this is a bad thought, this is a good thought)...

Don't get dependent on the internet. The internet these days are full of crap. Learn from experience, learn form the people who have experience. The mental plane is the highest and purest plane. It's rare to get "access" to the particular plane. Now, there is a things called "mental projection" NoY's method with the purple flame, than create a mental body and bring your awareness to the mental body, is a method of mental projection. To be honest, i don't believe anybody on the forum has been to the mental plane.

Oh btw, the highest plane is the Buddhaic plane according to Hinduism and also in some Buddhist teachings...You can go all the way up until you attain your light body but only highly spiritually developed ones can go that much.

Well, i'm not Hindu or a Buddhist. I'm not any religion actually.

Not too long ago I posted of an experience where I integrated from a mundane etheric environment to a breath taking astral landscape through simple meditation... my attention was averted to the visually enticing astral at that point, but I believe if I continued meditating I would've gone "further out" so to speak. This idea seems to dovetail with the story of the Buddha... he meditated through various obstacles in order to find his way to awakening... I imagine these obstacles were just astral experiences. Astral meditation, I concluded, may be the key to reaching the higher planes.

The Mental Plane is the highest and purist of the lowest and dirtiest... so to speak, sort of....

Any sincere Spiritual Child who makes the effort can make a quick visit to the HIGH Spiritual Realms. They may not not be able to tarry long and will certainly not find regular employment there, but a quick visit is well within their reach, imo.
