Title: Getting Closer and Closer...
Post by: RisingSon on November 01, 2009, 18:26:06
I've been on a concerted effort to induce SP and go into an OBE for 32 days now.  Prior to that I spent 32 days just trying to do dream recall and remember to do many reality checks during the day.  It has been quite a bit of effort at times, but so far I'm pleased with the results.  My dream recall is much better now, although I can't say any have been truly lucid, I've entered SP in full awareness 4 different occasions (during one I went in and out of SP and a projected state 3 times), and I've managed 2 successful OBEs in one session.  The last 2 times I went into SP I was unable to fully separate, but I knew what was going on.  When I fail to separate my legs get vertical and flail around, like I was a rag doll - a strange sensation, but not frightening.  It feels like I just don't have the power to get out on those occasions or I'm lacking some precise focus.  Like threading the proverbial needle...

Do any of you have suggestions for separating during SP?  I've used the "float to the ceiling" command and it worked once.  I've not tried rolling out, sitting up, or climbing the rope yet, mostly because I forget those in that state.  Did any of you experienced projectors have similar problems of separating early on in your practice?  I really don't want to waste these opportunities, but I'm also grateful when I get a chance - I actually enjoy SP now and can't wait to have the experience again.

Thanks.

One small tip is to always have a specific goal in mind for your projections.
So when you do get out, you're not left wondering what the hell to do.  :)

The rolling out method definately works best for me. Sitting up is harder but works too. I've never had any success with the rope method, but some people swear by it.....

I like this method. This morning, I woke up right before my alarm going off. I remembered this method and immediately felt the cell phone in my hand. I was amazed, it felt sooo real. I was turning the cell phone in my hand feeling every part of it in wonder. I then started to detach and my alarm went off. Bummer. I'll have to try this again, most def.
