I read things on the internet like "What is Sleep Paralysis like?" or "How do you get sleep paralysis?" and all the answers were mostly like this:
DUDE! I dont wish it for anyone it's horrible! Your an idiot if you want it! n00b. Sleep paralysys is a medical problem so you shouldn't have it.

Well guess what?
I HAVE HAD IT AND IT WAS AWSOME! Yes it was scary. But it opened alot of new doors to me. It happened out of sleep-I was getting eaten in my sleep and got paralysed. What happened next was very interasting. I lay there abit shocked and scared but then I recovered my wits and trying to move. I moved. The next thing I know I was floating out of my body! The room was beautiful! It was very bright(in the middle of the night) and it was nothing like I had read. Also yes I felt like being stragled by blankets...but oh well. Anyway how do I get it more often? I can get it to happen about 3-5 times a week if I want to but not much more often than that. Don't be put off by bad comments. Remember. You are the master. In sleep Paralysis nothing can hurt you. Do it. see any bad entities? LOVELY! You have 3 options:

1. Give it love. It's most probable that it's your imagination but incase it isn't give it love, it will get tired and go away.

2. Carve 'em up nice and easy. If it's your imagination show it whos the boss(lol). Incase it isn't (very unlikely) still show it who's the boss.

3. Wanna stop it? Just too scared? Well twich your face as if you just smelled something bad and It will stop. Or you can stop breathing and once you get to a certain stage the body will wake up to see what's stopping the air.

Ok Now that we have discussed it go and try it out! How to get SP:

1. Make sure your neck is either bend forward/backward so that the bodys connection to the brain is not so strong.

2. When you sleep think of nothing. Look at the blackness and notice any changes that happen. This usually makes my SP eyes open.

3. Tell your-self you will get sleep paralysis all day. DO this for a week and you should get it.

Good Paralysation Experiences to you!

I used to get sleep paralysis a lot a long time ago and I was never afraid.  I looked forward to it as I knew I could ap from it.  It does not happen anymore.  It does not worry me.  There are other ways to ap apart from sp.

omass

Yeah I know. Well alot of people on the net have asked how to do it so i figured I might make a post.

Bedeekin

A nap or pre-sleep is the trick.

I used to think it was a bent neck... because it constricted me.

It was all down to a nap in the evening that caused it later that night, or returning to bed from being awaked from a dreamless sleep.

I'm glad to hear you dig Sleep Paralysis.

I've experienced sleep paralysis countless times over the years, and generally found it unnerving due to restricted breathing symptoms I typically experience along with it (probably due to sleep apnea). On the other hand, it's provided countless opportunities to project, with many rewarding experiences over the years. If it weren't for the breathing difficulties I encounter, I'd look forward to it more often.

As a note, I usually break out of SP by mustering all of my will to force myself to sit up in bed, which usually works quite well for me (although I typically find myself gasping for air when I do :( )

There is different places in the phasing process where one can enter a state that adequately can be described by the term 'sleep paralysis'.

Sleep paralysis can be called the state when one comes out of a dream and cannot move.
Others use the term for the common mind awake/body asleep (F10) state of being.
There are even other places where this term could be accurate.

So please remember, words are simply placeholders for phenomenon. When the thing being described, sleep paralysis in this case is non-physical, having a high degree of verifiability is usual rare, for instance, try to get a definition for love, or wisdom out of a group of 100 people.

Best on your travels  :-) or sleep paralysis expeditions  :-D

Sleep Paralysis is so misunderstood it's scary. Even today there seems to be misconceptions. The actual thing CAN be defined and nailed down to having specific shared commonalities that go way beyond subjective and nonphysical. They are common and aren't vague experiences that can be simply put down as another OOBE 'personal' experience. They are very definitive, able to be described in a few sentences and is such a common thing that the name "Nightmare" has entered the english language.

There is absolutely huge amounts of medical data on Sleep Paralysis... the neurological processes... the physical and hormonal. I've spent years not only experiencing it but also studying it... to the point where I have been cited in published journals.

I am putting together an updated Sleep Paralysis article for people to read.

omass

Yeah do that lol. I know there is advanced medical data on it and plenty of "simple" explenations...
I know abit about it but I am not a 100% expert who has spent years studying Sleep Paralysys.
When the job needs to be properly the experts are called in...(me about Beedeekin)

Looking forward to that article Bedeekin. I have experienced the profound form of sleep paralysis a few times, and it didn't bother me at all. Rather, it was fascinating. I always use SP as a springboard for AP. I just float out of my body and that's it. I don't understand all the fuss....!

I've found that the people who tend to have the worst time/experiences with sleep paralysis are the people who either have no idea what it is... or people who read too many of the horror stories and think they know too much about it.  :)

for the materialist and the ignorant it is hell. for the metaphysicist it is an opportunity.

Hi,
It happens more with youth. After 50 years of age its very rare if you have experienced it throughout your life.
I can't find the article where I read it but remember it being from a  reliable source. Displayed as percentages respecting age.
Makes us oldies feel better, unless you've never had the experience.
I can imagine it being quite emotional an event.
There's far more where the eye can't see.
Close your eyes and open your mind.
