I would like you guys to give this a try and post what you experience. Do whatever you usually do to get deeply relaxed. Once you get the point when your hands are going a little numb, and you feel like you are to the point where you might fall asleep. Roll your eyes up (while keeping them closed of course). Make them look up as high as you can to where it starts to feel a little uncomfortable (not too much of course). Then focus all your attention on this point as if you plan on exiting through that spot. You should know if this is going to get you results within a minute or two. You should feel as if all your awareness is being condensed in this spot and the parts of you that werent numb already are instantly going numb, and you should start to feel as though your bodily awareness is melting away pretty quickly.
Note: Normally I will project while laying on my stomach, and on my sides (and sometimes on my back). However I have trouble finding the same position with my eyes while on my sides or stomach. I only manage for this to work while laying on my back (it seems just merely its a problem finding the same position with my eyes in any other position). Also if you do this when you are not deep enough yet, you will get results but you will peak in results and wont get to seperation. If you do it while you are in the right level of deepness you should start seperating within a few minutes. Anyway just give this a try and let me know what happens.
sure i'll give it a go tonight
Hey thanks, let me know here what you experience. Just remember it doesn't seem to work if you are not deep enough. You already want to be going partially numb, and deeply relaxed. If you are relaxed enough when you do this for a minute or two, you should hit a trance pretty quickly. If you do not but do start having results and the strain on your eyes is becoming evident, let your eyes go back to their normal relaxed position. Then focus on that point (Up and between the eyes) not with your eyes but awareness and the feeling/results you got from when you focused with your eyes up will rush in, and the vibrations should start. Then when this happens quiet your mind as best as possible, the less active the mind is the deeper you go and real fast.
T.L., If this will work me I Will give you a gold medal or something
I'm sure it will get you results of some sort. Just remember though the deeper you are when you do this the more it will have an effect. However don't do this until you are sure you are deep enough. I've noticed if I do it too early, or multiple times the next times (in the same attempt) it doesn't have as profound an effect, at least until my next attempt. However you can do it around 3 times in the same attempt and have it help. Also like I said before if you do it, and you start to feel effects but your eyes feel a little strained. Relax them but mentally focus on the spot you had them in and if you are deep enough the numbness and vibrations should sweep in. I remember from years ago when practicing meditation.
I got advice that when you are in beta brainwaves (normal waking consciousness) and you breath deeply while looking up you can enter alpha brainwave patterns. So the position of the eyes can induce the next level down it seems. So if you manage to mentally enter alpha yourself, using this can induce theta. If you enter theta yourself this can induce delta. However keep your normal breathing pattern. If you breath too deeply if you are able to enter deep theta, or delta your body will take the breathing deep (unnaturally deep) as a signal to wake the body up (which is how some people break sleep paralysis). Good luck and let me know what happens =-)

Tell me more about this technique please about entering alpha with breathing deeply whilst looking up. Post a new thread if need be pls.
I also wanted to ask you T.L. if you'd reply to my posts in the other post about it all bieng in the mind. ty.
Hey T.L. I tied your method this is what happened:
I lay down do a little relaxation and keep my mind quiet. I originally intended to do phasing but i was too awake so i had to wait a long time until i entered the hypnagogic state So instead i tried your method. And sure enough within about 2 minutes i felt a little dizzy and disoriented and a huge pressure was building up in my 3eye chakra. But unfortunately my mother entered the room and asked my "why am I sleeping in the middle of the day?" (She doesn't know about my secret hobby so to speak). I got a lot of projections ruined this way but whatever the main thing is something started to happen and maybe it will work next time.
It doesn't look like you were deep enough as I suggested. However like I said something will happen, in that you will enter the next brain level down. I can tell you know what I mean though because that is exactly what you feel. A sort of feeling that you concentration/awareness is being condensed in your head (with some pressure), disorientation, and dizziness. When you go deeper first then try these feelings are less noticeable, as in you wont feel quite as dizzy. Instead you feel like your awareness is being condensed to a small point in the head, the face goes numb with the rest of the body following shortly thereafter.
From there its just a hop skip and jump to the vibrations sweeping in. One other thing you might notice if you move your eyes back down instead of 2d blackness behind your eyelids you will perceive 3 dimensions behind the eyelids shortly before the vibrations come. There are a lot of other things you will feel Im sure as well. Im just trying to keep my posts shorter than usual lol.
I tried it tonight when i was between awake and falling asleep (hearing that beep in your ears and
getting sucked in), but nothing happend. After a few seconds my eyes hurt hehe
But that doesnt mean nothing...most things dont really work for me.
What position were you lying in? I've experimented with a few things like how far up to look...etc. When I tried it and not looking up as high as I do when it works, nothing happens. Also the timing seems to be important, as well as how long are you looking up and how relaxed you are. Just experiment and see, trial and error.
Yeah ill give it another go. I was laying on my back, but maybe not in the right mind state.
Anyway, i have problems with "active" techniques. Or so to say, they dont work in first place for
me but indicate experiences which happens passively, like when im asleep and wake up in vibrations.
I used to be the same way. Hardly anything worked. Which makes me think I'm right about the chemicals I believe are involved in starting the seperation process. The need for the chemicals must be impressed upon the brain for some time before it sees the need to produce them. When I first started meditating nothing happened except I would become relaxed. This is all I thought it was good for at the time. However after a short while (doing this twice a day 20-30 each time) which was in a period of weeks or so I started to have very odd experiences. First it would happen that I would see a distant place. Then before I knew it I was finding myself at distant places. Hearing the sounds, feeling, smelling this is what lead me to read up on OBE's and Lucid Dreams in the first place. I wanted to figure out what was happening. However it took weeks for this to happen to me. So I suppose the brain saw the need for it then just made the chemicals needed and viola. It may not take weeks for some people though, everyones body's are different. However it's just a theory. Oh and remember to try and have your eyes at the right position for at least a minute or two, while doing it if you want to do anything like visualize just focus on your breathing, or keeping your mind clear and that should do it.
sorry - had back pain last couple of days which has made it difficult to atempt this. I like the theory behind it though. (it makes sense to me) I think i might need to try hypnosis or something because my main experience with obe/nde is associated with pain and fear and i need to find a way to effectively lower those subconscious barriers to projecting.
I'll set aside at least 2 hours tonight to give this method a try. What i tend to do to prepare myself - is walk into an empty dark room in my flat i stand in it for a while then i walk round touching the walls feeling the room and the darkness ..when its really quiet in my mind it creates a better atmosphere for attempts apparently.
It seems to have helped me induce an almost AP state in the morning..If I had more experience with it I would have gone into AP most likely..But I had to get up sadly :(
Cool keep at it and let me know. As long as I am relaxed enough it gets me to the vibrations very quickly. Just thought I'd share and see if it did the same for others. I just wondered why it took me so long to notice that my eyes tend to go a certain way the deeper I go. So I figured what if I just got relaxed and mimicked the same eye movements and it seems to work great.
would the hypnagogic state be deep enough to project using this method ?
Yeah should be.
