I've been practicing OBE quite a lot this past week or 2. When I've been trying recently, it's as if I'm having real difficulty getting the same sensations I was getting before. Is this because I need to recharge? Or Cos I'm sort of used to it so I need to take a break? Or both? Or something completely different?
I wouldn't personally phrase it as "recharging", I view it as more of a momentum thing. Any skill will deteriorate if you don't use it for some amount of time.
So you're saying I should practice more?
You've got a problem actually...
You're expecting to get the same sensations each and every time you practice.
The simple fact is, you may not! :)
Keep practicing... the only time you'll guarantee failure is if you quit.
Good point. Thanks. :)

I don't know, I surmised from your post that you have gone a while without practising, or practising very little, and are now amplifying efforts. If that's the case, then all you need to do is get back into a steady rhythym. I don't think I read it properly earlier though, so if that's not the case then it's still OK... I find practises sometimes just don't "click" for me either sometimes. It depends on the specifics of your problem. If you really feel like you're on the right track, then those states should come in time (most likely). If you feel a bit different than previously, like your practises just aren't "clicking" for some reason, then I find at this point it's good to become more casual and relaxed towards them, without forcing them or pressuring ourselves. Also try not to go into every practise with an expectation of something, just do it. It also might help immensely to read new sources and perspectives on projecting which give you a new perspective to look through.
i hate to say this, but you just gotta go with your gut. tell your brain to shut up and listen to your heart.
that sounded so new agey, but it's true.
you also have to remember that the more you practice the less intense energy sensations and trance sensations will be. you're habituating your system to the experience. we've had this talk about "road signs" before, sensations that you feel that can clue you in to where you are in the process of projection. it sounds like a good idea but it can be a distraction, especially when you expect those road signs and they don't come. then you think you're not progressing so you stop, when in actuality you may have been right on the verge. i would say that ultimately, as you become a skilled projector you probably don't notice much if any sensations besides the actual shift of awareness.
