Good topic, i would say for me, learning to fly-tom petty
Thank you for your reply.
I thought of another one: "Up, Up and Away" by The 5th Dimension.
The entire "Lateralus" album by TOOL. Some of the songs are about OBE, and the entire sound to the album is mystical. The word "lateralus" means 'a bridge connecting two parallel lines that would otherwise never intersect'. The title track on the album is the most lyrically inspirational song I've heard. --> A few songs on every TOOL album are 'deep'.
I like, HemiSync: Remembrance,
Buddha's Dream,
Structures in Silence.
I'd also like to share a small part of a poem I heard (found a clip on Kazaa called: The Poem) by Maynard James Keenan, the lead singer of TOOL.
....to avoid pushing our mental thresholds, would result in mental regression... STOP. A mind regressing would result in the discontinuing of evolving knowledge, the deprivation of evolving knowledge would conclude to the loss of elite divinity, no divinity terminates spiritual progression. Without spiritual progression, the soul is theoretically dead... GO!
-- I know there are other CDs I like for this reason, I'll post again if I remember.
Technically you shouldn't use music for trance and astral projection. But if your going to listen to something, why not make it, "Astral Porjection." Astral projection are a Trance group, they produce a very unique electronic sound. I think they must project themseves for them to be called Astral Projection.
Having said this, it's not very suitable for the purpose. I doubt it would relax you or put you in the mood for projection, I thought I would just inform you about them.
if anyone has the videogame "quake" for the PC, then listen to that on your stereo, trent reznor of nine inch nails did it and its really atmospheric and ambient...
i got into the vibrational stage when listening to that.
I had my first experience 10+ years ago listening to Enya(Shepherd Moons). Her music is great for relaxing and getting into a trance state.
Other good music :
Brendan Perry (Eye of the Hunter)
Enigma (especially the song 'Gravity of Love')
Kula Shaker
Clannad

Actually, I get pretty relaxed whilst listening to them. I guess by listening to all kinds of electronic music for the past 15+ years, I can relax to almost anything electronic. :)
As far as meditation goes, I like "Dreamland" by Robert Miles. Totally relaxing. It's a Dream House CD; in fact I can't really stay awake listening to it. :)
I usually don't use music for meditation, especially when it comes to astral training. Robert said that, like other muscles, in order to build your brain skills, you have to actually work it. By listening to music, one doesn't have to work all that hard to relax the mind.
What other electronic groups do you like?
Take care,
Thought of another one: "Travelling Without Moving" by Jamiroquai.
I just thought of two more: "I'll Follow the Sun" and "Up'N'Away" by Mr. President.
What songs get you into the mood for, help you induce, or remind you of OBE? Let's make this post a collective list of good astral projection music.
For me it's:
"It's a Fine Day" by Opus III
"In My Dreams" by Darkness (the remixes are good, too)
"Are You Ready to Fly" by Rozalla
"A Dream's a Dream" by Soul II Soul
"Go On" by JK
I fantasise about the astral, and this is the music I often listen to when I do.
