OK, so, tell me, what is the difference between a WILD and an OBE?  There seems to be a lot of fierce discussion about this on other forums.  Are they the same thing with different interpretations applied, or are they unique experiences?  Ideas, experiences, and opinions are most welcome!

Lucid dreams, just like dreams, happen on the mental plane of the astral dimensions.
The scenery is very fine, very fluid and thoughtform-reactive.

OBEs are known to happen in a place between the astral world and the material world, a "buffer zone" where content of the physical dimension is directly reflected into the scenery. The scenery can still be bent by one's thoughts but it is more solid than the scenery of the astral world.

To shift from a lucid dream state to an out of body or astral state is a known technique.

I'm new to the OBE state, having done it once consciously.  So, silly question, but from this buffer zone can you then go to other levels of the astral?  Getting out of my body was as natural as walking down the street, but once out I was in a bit of an odd world - "my house", but a strange, dream-like house.  Having said that, it all was experienced as a continuous event, with no time breaks once I successfully left my body.

My new question would then be, "if you go into an OBE and then leave the buffer zone, are you then dreaming or still having an OBE?"  How can you tell the difference?
