A few months ago I did reach the vibrational state and had some very cool experiences that I have related here. However since that time I have not been able to reach the vibrational state. If it were easy everyone would be doing it and the fact that it is a challenge it something to pursue and perhaps become the greatest discovery of mankind.
I have commented before that I believe it is the act of letting go of all that we know to achieve this incredible state. Because I have experienced it, I assumed I would be able to do it at will. That has not been the case. I focused on trying to reach the vibrational state only to find the harder I tried the more allusive it became.
I do know it is real. There is no question when you are in your astral body vs this current reality we live in. Many of you here had the astral experience because of your descriptions of your experiences.
It would behoove us all to pursue this vigorously and see if we can derive information that could benefit this world during a most challenging time.
Best wishes to all for this Holiday Season!
Dave
The fact that you truly believe in it is one of the most important factors in actually succeeding in making it happen IMO. Good luck and happy holidays to you as well.
I have reached the vibrational state twice, perhaps in 20 (albeit not continually focussed) years!! I believe Alestair Crowley coined the phrase "will-less will" which roughly translated means, focused concentration but with a complete lack of desire. I think the harder you try and the more desperate you are to project, the less chance there is of it happening. Relax and adopt a carelessness of attitude and results should come. I have recently found these forums and so have reignited my interest in the whole topic. These forums are great! Just ordered a copy of the ultimate reality from Amazon - can't wait to read it!!
Waking after 4 or 5 hours sleep will greatly increase your chances of getting vibrations. A method which works well for me is then to just relax and run through the dream I was just having. It's best to lie on your back for while when you're doing this. Then concentrate on the background buzz or hum which we all hear in our heads when it's quiet. Imagine this sound is in your frontal lobes/temple area. Try to mentally intensify this buzzing noise and "bounce" it from left to right across your frontal lobe area, once or twice a second. Try to keep this up as you fall back to sleep (right up to the point of sleep is best). You should find that with a little practice you can cause the sensation to intensify and it will soon become full blown vibrations. Using this (and other) methods, I've learned to reach the vibrational stage about 50% of the time, so it really is possible to learn this. Your frame of mind as you do this should be one of expecting to have an OBE (this expectancy/intention is very important too). But be relaxed about it, and don't try to force it too much.
It's best if you're in total silence when you do this exercise as any external sound will distract you. Earplugs are very useful if it's safe to use them (hearing smoke alarms etc).
Hope this helps, and good luck with it.
Yeah, that sounds like good advice. It occurred to me this morning upon waking, that this would be a good time to try and project. After a good night's sleep and before you have moved your physical body, concentrate on just 'noticing' the internal hum or buzz, just as Nickspry says above. Your body is completely relaxed and you will not have to worry about all the relaxation exercises as you should just be able to slip into a semi-trance like state with ease. I did it this morning, only I fell back to sleep! The only problem with this is that you need to stay mentally alert (which I didn't) but then I think NickSpry's idea of focussing on and bouncing back and forth the internal buzz may work well for this purpose. I will give it a try tomorrow.....
