Title: Grogginess?
Post by: MinstruelZ on September 02, 2008, 10:43:21
Something I feel that is hindering me is the level of grogginess (for lack of a better word  :-D) that I experience when I sleep. I've always been an extremely deep sleeper and rarely remembered any dreams. For this reason I'm considering attempting mainly at night because I am very much NOT a "morning person".

Since I started this a few weeks ago I've been remembering at least one dream a night so I think this is good progress. However the one semi-lucid dream I had recently was so "groggy" that it was like I could barely do anything. Can anybody relate to this?

Particularly to the successful "natural" projectors - do you tend to be light sleepers? What is it that differentiates you between the people who have trouble projecting and lucid dreaming?

I have insomnia...wake up every 45 minutes so yes I think it contributes to my OBE's. I also wake up extremely easily...even the slightest noise. I am extremely mentally tired the day of an OBE.

I was talking to my wife about this last night. She is a very light sleeper and can have lucid dreams almost at will. She also gets sleep paralysis quite a bit and has had a few spontaneous OBE's without knowing what they were. I think us deeper-spleepers are at a disadvantage.
