The only real tension I get is in my back, and I would just suggest some stretching before laying down.

NECK -   pivot  your head on the neck clockwise,  then  anti-clockwise  about  20  times each.

SHOULDER-  with me, i find  shoulder tension is created  from neck tension,   if  i want to  relax my  shoulders, i relax my neck to do so.

BACK- i reccomend  spinal arches,  i do the 5 tibetans  which work on the spine and back.  The most appropriate  one for you id say is:

Sitting on  your knees  with  your  thighs and spine in alignment,    arch  back  as far as feels comfortable, supporting  yourself  by placing  your hands underneath  your buttocks.  Then  draw back into alignment.

Do as many as  you can until  you feel  your  spine has been limbered and become tension-free.

CHEST.............

this is the most difficult because i  find  that  to relax the chest,  i must first be free from all my anxieties.  To get rid of the mental annoyances  which make me angry, jealous, frustrated etc so  i  meditate.

the chest isnt a muscle you  can  relax  by physical exercise (to my knowledge)  its more of a mental process to eliminate the thoughts or feelings which create  tension in the chest area,  e.g.  insecurity, nervousness,  stress.

its also  harder to take a deeper breath when the chest (heart chakra)
is  "tight".

i tried ecstacy a few weeks back and since  i loved everyone,  had no  insecurites about myself and  had all the confidence  in the world, there was absolutely no tension  at all in  my chest.  It  must be  down  to  the heart  chakra  in  full  blown  working order,  the kind of infinate love  which comes  from a balanced heart chakra.

after coming  down,  the paranoia,  the insecurities and fears all came back-  along with tension  in my chest.

thats no  coincidence.
