Has anyone gone back in time?

Has anybody been able to will themselves to see themselves (or not themselves) in events some years before? If so how did it work? what was the clarity like?

The only time I've ever been able to visit the past when I wanted to was to first go to the Akashic records and visit from there. Once I was shown a past life by a guide -- but it was strange in that I didn't see the whole life or anything, it was more a glimpse of who/what I was and a brief summary of what happened and how that impacts my current life.

Clarity for both was only about 70% aware -- so I understood general things, but some of the details kept getting distorted.

I have seen several past lives.  I've also gone back in time in this life, once.  It was strange standing there watching an event that had happened in my early childhood.  I wrote about on here somewhere..hehe.   The clarity was just like me sitting here right now.  I was like Scrooge in a Christmas Carol, in the sense that I was right there in the middle of the action but not seen. 

I think it was meant to show the view on how other kids perceived me..  I would love to do many other scenes in my life.

Yes, I've been practising healing my aspects by healing the past lives for quite some time, so I've seen and felt through many of the past incarnations. The clarity is good, for me it looks as if I was watching a movie,but with a complete awerness of who is who, who am I, what is my role in this story, what are my fears, hopes etc.The feeling is most spectacular. For example you find yourself crying in the past life, and while watching it today you feel all the emotions...all the reasons, as if it was happening right now. It can get very intense. I don't do it through OBE (no need to be honest) just mental projections. Bruce Moen teaches the method for soul retrievals, but in reality this method can be used to retreive yourself as well...when you know how, you have acces to all "past"..I haven't tried checking up on the parellel past and parellel present thou..that would be exciting  No, seriously..when you do accept that time doesn't exist you'll come to an understanding that you're an outcome of all your past lives right here and right now, so all answers are here in front of you within the reach of your hand...whoa!I think I'm a bit off topic..

Am Curious Novice how were you able to "go" to the akashic records? what did they look like is it like a library? how was the information seen? pls tell all.

You may want to do a search on Akashic Records if you are interested, there was a thread here several months back regarding it.

I visit there the same way I visit any other person or place -- through thought/intent. Focus fully on who/where you want to visit and keep that thought alone in your mind. It takes what I perceive to be only a few moments and then I arrive.

As for looks, it will look like whatever your mind interprets, just like anything else in the astral. So what I perceive it to be will be different (either by a little bit or a lot) than what someone else perceives it to be. But there was a type of grassy lawn in front and it had wide stone steps leading up to the building. There were many rooms and a lot of 'helpers' around to whom you could ask questions. They will lead you right to where you want to go. I perceived not really books, but more like moving pictures -- but really small frames. There were pages of these, and I flipped through until I saw one I wanted. Then I entered it.

Do resurfacing memories count as going back in time?  Dreams constantly make forgotten moments reappear for me... I'm "receiving" more and more of my before-age-6 memories which seemed to be long lost. They're not replayed, I just see objects or situations that suddenly reactivate a pathway to one of these "recorded but hidden" areas... In a way I feel that I'm "relinking" the brain, making sure that there are no orphaned memories in there...

I've been back in time and seen my house with the family that lived there before.  Other than this is mainly to access the Akashic records.

Is it possible to see the history of another person or place?

Rather than one going back through past lives or whatever to see there own past or past lives (which they cant remember) is it possible to view information about the pasts of others? or about the pasts of places or objects even.

If the Akashic records do indeed hold every piece of information about anything that has ever happened with anyone/anything then this should be possible. I'm not being skeptical about the records but I feel it would be interesting to see if anyone has been able to backtrack about another person or place or thing.

Anyone got any views on this or even been able to see the history of something else other than themselvs?

Supposedly, this is how theosophists gained the knowledge for their teachings - the evolution of man and consciousness, atlantis & lemuria, planetary phases & epochs, etc.

However, among all the different people who have claimed to do it, there are still tons of discrepancies.

Hmmm interesting and in your instance of visiting your childhood home do you also see yourself there still as a child at all?

just this morning I projected three times and was at good ole mom/dads house..

normally, this is where my obe's start and then i adventure outward.
