I heard that after you die you have the option of letting your spirit fade out of existence. Is this true or is it just a rumor?Because if it's true that's creepy. :-(

What happens after we die is uncertain so there is no way of accurately knowing for sure.

I have never heard that we have the option to fade out. Remember this, energy can neither be created nor destroyed, so with that being said, I would say we stick around for a mighty long time!  :-D

i find it alot easier to try and not think about the "after-life", we're all going to eventually find out if there is one, what is it, whats it like...so...why ruin the surprise now?

My answer to the question is based solely on the part of my medium work when I take 'deadies' into the light.

Awareness seems to be the first thing leaving the body, and apparently after about 3 days all energy is withdrawn, so only the carcass is left here.

Some people get lost in what has been called belief system territories until they remember and are ready to move into clarity and pass over. Most people have some thoughts about what they expect death to be like so they may well experience just that, by their own creation. Some stay around because they want to 'finish' things off with family, etc, and some hang about here because they still want to have influence and control in their families affairs. There are a lot more variants as well.

When someone goes into the light, I usually see at least one other waiting to meet them at an area I think of as the 'arrival place'. Each one will go on and do other things, those who suicide automatically go to something like a hospital for healing and at times there have even been beings appearing like nurses to meet a suicider.

Some want to reincarnate as soon as possible, others are happy to work in the area on projects before moving on to other things. I know of one old woman who specifically worked with damaged children who had suffereed greatly at the hands of others in life. I love that old lady.

What I always see when I take people over into the light is once we get there, a process starts inside them, one that I call 'waking up'. You can see it, as they start to glow more, and recognize the truth of coming out of their 'dream of life'. I get the best warm and fuzzy feelings with them.

What happens next is up to the person who has passed over. No one judges them for their lives actions, instead they review the life for themselves to see how they went compared to the general plan for experience. The process of preparing for another incarnation can begin again at this point if it is advantageous to do so, otherwise some time-out can be taken. Some beings choose to have an incarnation in other realites before returning to here.

The choices are endless, well almost.
