Have you ever met an Archangel?

So last night I became conscious in my dream and began flying upwards. I felt the vibrations and knew I was going to exit my body. I ended up popping out of my body, and flew threw my window into the sunrise. I could feel the clouds going through me, it was amazing. I flew and I flew and somehow ended up at this large castle situated in the clouds. Infront of it was a man wearing a brown robe, with golden wings. He told me his name was Michael and he was an Archangel. Now mind you, I am not Catholic, or Christian and I wasn't aware there was even an Archangel named Michael in the bible. Anyhow, he 'guided' me for awhile. I was with him for quite some time, I followed him around asking him what he was doing. There was an elderly lady who was with him and he told me he was preparing her for death by taking her spirit when she was asleep to this church where she would go to immediately after she died. She sat and sang songs with him, he told me she wouldn't remember when she awoke because her body was dreaming, and that as soon as she died she would recognize this place and feel at ease.
We returned to the tower and I asked him "Can you show me where I will go when I die?"
I was flying within seconds at such a fast speed I couldn't make out where I was even going.
We ended up in a beautiful, beautiful garden. He told me I would rest there. There were squirrels and animals, a waterfall and the most peaceful sound I have ever heard - nature. I am very close to nature and it made me very happy to be there. There was pure beauty, everywhere, such a calming feeling. I asked him after that, "Can you show me Heaven?" (I'm not entirely sure why I asked, because I personally don't even believe in heaven as I'm not Christian, maybe just to see if it really existed)
Anyways he whistled and a chariot appeared with two horses with wings, he got onto it and so did I and we zoomed so fast I felt the energy throughout me picking up and vibrating higher and higher.
We stopped infront of golden gates, the most beautiful sight I have ever seen, beyond these gates was a kingdom of wonder and beauty. Everything was amazing - colours I have never seen in real life, people with such a strong aura it glowed gold, everybody had wings. It was truly euphoria.

My memory gets kind of hazy, I recall asking what age I would die at and he told me an age that was way too young, I begged him to give me more time he told me that I don't take care of my body (I smoke, don't eat very healthy, etc.) I told him I would promise to take care of myself, and after that, I was back.

This is by far the most AMAZING, incredible experience I have ever had in my life. I have never seen such beauty, felt such wonder, amazement. The words I typed couldn't have shown nearly the beauty I saw today. So the thing is, I'm confused. I am not Christian, I do not believe in Heaven.
I believe in the afterlife but could I have stumbled upon the belief system territories ? Robert Monroe talks about it in his book. Also why did an Archangel call me? I don't even really believe in angels so this is all new to me. Have any of you encountered angels before ?

Wow, what an experience. Congrats.  :-)

I haven't met any stereotypical angels such as that.

The only thing I can tell you is that there are many accounts of BST (Belief System Territories) and that sounds like one. Your experience was somewhere in the F24-F26 range.

Thanks for sharing!  :-D

I saw an angel during a huge epic OBE once. I was focused on what was going on and I did not break away to talk to it so I do not know what kind of angel it was. It was just standing nearby and observing.

It would be kind of strange for you to gravitate towards a belief system you don't have any belief in, but who knows. I think it's good that you keep an objective view of it as you have, while also acknowledging the beauty of the experience. Because it sounds pretty darn amazing.

Also, Archangels aren't just from Catholic tradition... many theosophists and occult groups also work with Archangels, which they view as embodiments of the guiding forces behind physical & spiritual evolution.

OK, here I go blabbing about NDEs again, but that's only because your experience sounds a bit like an NDE.  The meeting with with a spirit entity and the guided tour of fantastically beautiful areas, complete with colours you have never seen before.

It is typical for atheists to meet God and be given a glimpse of heaven during an NDE. Basically they come back converted. So why should a committed atheist meet God? Well presumably because God is real.  Heaven is real, but I'm sure there are many heavens (many mansions) and you were shown one. Maybe it was a metaphorical kick up the bum to open your mind to wider horizons?

Has this changed your ideas about God and heaven?

Anyway, I'm envious. I've had experiences in the BSTs which felt wonderful but never been to "heaven".

That was a beautiful experience, thank you for sharing!  :-)

Perhaps your guides just wanted to give you some supportive message? Quite impressive experience.
Most of the times I go anywhere is in my LDs and then I usually end up somewhere indoors. :)

Well, I have seen the beauty of Heaven . I do believe in God but not the 'Catholic' ideology of a man who sits on a throne and demands that you worship him and only him , dictates whether you're going to Heaven/Hell etc. I think this version of God probably does exist seeing as how practiced the religion is . But the thing in the Astral is mind is matter right . I think anything is possible in the Astral, I have witnessed the beauty first hand . I do believe in different beings and creatures, maybe Archangels are not limited to visiting religious people nor was It a sign that I have to be Christian/Catholic. I believe God is much more than anybody could comprehend , the eternal 'oneness' with all that is ; without beginning and without end . I didn't take it as a message I have to change y beliefs , if that was the case he would have told me so. I am scared however that he was visiting me to prepare me for death, I remember him telling me I am goig to die very young unless I start taking better care of my body.. I guess we will have to see what happens ! Either way I am so happy to have had this experience :)

missym, I think you have it spot on. God is not catholic, or muslim, or hindu or whatever. Just pure unconditional love. I would also take the advice you were given, and take better care of yourself. But I wouldn't worry too much about dying young. I think the message is cautionary, it's one of your possible futures out of many. But just take the advice!

I don't think you 'gravitate' towards a belief system until you are sufficiently 'dead,' here on the phsyical.

There is strong documents that 'cannonball exits' usually toss you into some random BST.
In my book, it's more of a stumbling than a gravitation.

NDEs are pretty much just strong forced projections. If you have a healthy understanding of the phasing process you can instantly see all the correlations between the patterns documented in NDEs and Wake induced phase attempts. Bottom line- it's the same phenomenon, with different physical surrounding circumstances.

From this Point of view, this 'BSTs ARE Heaven' hypothesis really starts to shine. In these belief system territories is where you would see all your dead friends, etc. No wonder there is such confusion amongst boundary experiences here on the physical plane. You have complete autonomy over your surroundings is power you get in heaven. The surroundings are just all 'intangible' that is from our perspective. That's were the 'Intent instantly manifests' law starts to make real sense when using astral projection discipline to better understand our greater reality. All these patterns articulate.
