wannafly

 Hi guys,

I'm sort of new to this and feel as though ive had OBEs before without trying but when i try to OBE i have difficulty! I usually lay on my back in my bed, close my eyes and relax, whilst imagining floating or leaving my body.. A good percentage of the time i can reach the stage of feeling vibrations, and also i tend to reach sleep paralysis and i can feel myself flying upwards or whichever way i choose... HOWEVER I DO NOT SEE ANYTHING.. in other words its an imaginary flying sensation. why is this?

Question 1. Am i on the right path?
2. any tips to further my experience and what am i doing wrong/>?

CHEERS guys, many thanks in advance.

Hello and Welcome to the Astral Pulse!  :-)

You sound like you are doing great!  :-)

If I could add a suggestion it would be to try some kind of visualizing while you are creating your non physical focus.

They can be a simple or as complex as you wish.

Example: Toss the ball in your left hand to your right hand. (Don't look for the ball yet, just go through the mental motions)

Keep tossing it back and forth for abut 5 minutes. You will see that now you can see the ball and you can feel yourself tossing it back and forth.

Now roll the ball into the 3D darkness before your eyes. Watch how it moves forward into the darkness there.

Don't be surprised if it comes back to you again.

You can do this also by spinning a basketball in your hands. Then shooting the basketball into the darkness.

You can dribble the ball, go for a layup, (since now you now see a basket in front of you)

All kinds of things, have fun with it.

Try it with a Yo-Yo, Boomerang or a Frisbee.

Practice this often throughout the day. The better you get with this, the easier you will find the "shift".

You may have been OOB but just not been able to see.  That has happened to me before and I know it happens to a lot of people.  If you get out again and have no vision or reduced vision, say "perfect clarity!"  or something along those lines.  When I do that I can usually instantly see much better.  My RTZ projections generally have a low level of light.  If you think you're in the RTZ you can change you're location by just asking for or thinking about it.  You could say "Take me higher!"  or something like that.  When I do that I usually end up flying in a very bright beautiful place.  Hope that helps!

For fun, I just tried Lionheart's visualizing exercise.  I rolled a ball into the 3D darkness.  It disappeared and a second later it came flying back at me really fast and hard!   I was really shocked when it did that.  I know the post said "don't be surprised if it comes back to you," but I really wasn't expecting it too, and I definitely wasn't expecting it to come flying back at me like it was going to hit me in the face.  Funny!

Lol, I told you so!

It really teaches you that the darkness has a 3D quality to it.

It also shows you that you can move forward yourself into it.

I have been experiencing with a new visual that really does wonders in accessing the NPR.

First off, it starts with a simple meditation until I am comfortable.

If I feel stressed or tension, I will do a quick 2-5 minute progressive relaxation.

Then, I just focus my attention into the darkness before my eyes and start noticing, until I start to see the darkness in more of a 3D view.

This is when visualize a bat in my hand and I just start swinging it. Feel that movement, this is important.

After I get comfortable with that, I am ready for the pitch.

I usually get to my third strike before I actually hit the ball.

But then I hit the ball and watch as it goes high into the air.

Now I am watching this from a point of view approximately 2 feet behind the ball as it goes higher and higher.

After a couple of minutes watching it twirling through the air, I let the ball visual go and see what else I can see.

Many times I will be watching the ball as it goes over the fence, then as it starts to decline, I just keep my view at the same level and launch.

At this time I watch as I bypass the wall of the stadium and keep going. Free to explore.

This exercise works so well because you are seeing completely from a point of view. No body, just a simple point of view.

...and a point of view has no boundaries!  :-)

There are no wrongs : )

If the movement techniques dont work for you, start visualizing : )

Meditation, daily, highly suggested, facing the sun with eyes closed if you can...

For a few minutes a day try this:

Place your hands about 12 inches away from each other, hands open, palm facing palm.

Move them closer together by an inch, than go backward and inch, do this repeatedly, its known as pulsing.

Start to feel a palm to palm energy connection. After a few days of this, you will be able to not only feel the invisible energy connection, but with eyes closed,  visualize and feel your palm delivering it anywhere in the universe your mind can think of.

So you are strengthening your visual technique as well as your energy body, both will get you very far in altered states : )

That exericise is a very basic Qigong hand exercise. Google QIgong free classes, there might be one in your area.
