Health = better projection?

Being healthy can be a nice benefit, but I am not sure how much it can help APing. It certainly will not hurt. I like my meat. I like juicy steaks and greasy hamburgers. I can AP. So being a vegan is not a must. Though it is best not to have a full stomach and have just eaten a heavy meal before trying to AP. Being unhealthy might be distracting, such as aches, pains, coughing, etc, which can hinder projecting but mostly because it is distracting and not because you are unhealthy.

If you are wanting to be more healthy, I would suggest you do it for the long term physical effects and not just to be able to AP.

no, its not just to ap, i was already wanting to do it for ethics AND health and i was just wondering if my choice had any benefit with ap. imo its foolish to change your diet so drastically just to be able to ap better.

thanks for the help, i had no idea trying to ap n a full stomach wasn't such a good idea!

from what i know  about  AP, the energy body and health....

ease  and  lucidity of projection is determined  by the amount of energy that is being channeled from the etheric body  to  the  astral body,  now,  the amount  of energy  which is available to the astral body is determined by the  state of the physical/etheric body..

an  unhealthy  physical body  houses  tension, strain and muscular knots  which  inhibit  a smooth and direct flow of energy around the etheric body..

a healthy  body which is free from tension, strain etc  can easily accomodate a smooth, free flow of energy  all around  the etheric body,  which makes projection easier.

thats what the yoga asanas are for,  to  completely eliminate all tension in the body and increase the amount of energy flow which i  think is all  to do  with  yoga meditation.

even when were not talking about energy,  tension  in the body  makes it  much  harder to  get into the trance state if  your constantly having  to  consciously  relax an arm or whatever.

i find my right arm hard to relax  but ive found  stretching and limbering it up  releases tension, hence can harness more energy.

thats all i know though,   i  know nothing  about healthy dieting  and ease of projection.   My diet is   extremely poor.

i think that stress and health work together in being able to have a successful projection.  this is mostly because the better you feel, the more relaxed you are, the less you have to try and relax - if you get what i'm saying.  i find that when i'm under stress, i meditate more but can project less...and the times that i meditate when i'm not stressed, it's almost like an instant projection.  if i'm feeling sick or achy or stuffy or whatever, it's hard to focus and get to that deep level of trance.
i don't think if this helps at all, but i sure hope so!

Trying to project on a full stomach gives you a greater chance of falling asleep, for one thing. Think about the last time you ate a hearty meal, and then how you felt afterwards. A full tummy equals a sleepy person. It is really not healthy to stuff yourself when you eat anyway, but I think we all probably like to endulge in gluttony every now and then. I hear light meals are ok, but I rarely project soon after eating so I cannot say for sure on this.

i'm a raw foodist/vegan, so i'll have EXCELLENT health with little toxin in my body once i detox. (its only been 7 days, and i cheated today) so if i'm really healthy, will aping be easier? just wondering.
