I just started practicing Astral Projection 4 days ago, and I do realize it might take some time to succeed. I am trying to reach the Mind awake, Body asleep state, but after several hours of meditating, if I am lucky, I'll lose awareness only in my feet and my hands, while still aware of the rest of the body. My body just never goes to sleep. I've tried counting from one to ten, and focusing on my breath. I also use meditation bineural beats CDs, which takes me slowly all the way from Beta waves to Delta waves and then remains there for a long time. I thought this might put my body to sleep after some time but I have not been successful. So I am wondering, what do you to put your body to sleep? How much time does that usually take? Thanks.

Keep trying. Make sure your body is as comfortable as possible and make sure that nothing is coming into your head and if something does just focus again on your breathing, just obeserve it and dont try to control it. It may take some time you have only been doing it for 4 days.

when i first started trying i could barely get any results but now it takes me in between 40 to 50 minutes for my body to be fully relaxed or asleep. dont worry you will get it just keep trying!
