Are OBE´s natural?

Thats a pretty good question.  I think for many people OBE's are a natural "skill" like someone who just knows how to play the piano.  But there are many others that need to practice and learn.  And what if many didnt believe the piano existed?  Then they'd never learn.. however its hard to dispute so many more people learn.  Its a loose analogy but I think you get my point.  Its something most have to work at but its still natural in a way I guess.

For me I had OBE's and lucid dreams spontaneously.  One of my first memories of one was when I was riding my bike as a kid and thought I was flying on my bike.  It was really amazing.. then I suddenly woke up on the pavement and told everyone I had fallen asleep on my bike.

I only learned that OBE's were a reality and not just weird reaccuring dreams I had about a year ago.  Im 26 so its been a while.. for me they're natural and even though I hadn't heard the term or really believed up until now they still happened.  Unless i was breaking some type of natural law without knowing it I think I was just following some type of "natural" law.

Its a hard question to answer because I can see the argument it isnt natural too.  Just for some of us we didnt have much of a choice.  (Im not saying that trying to sound like a natural and brag about it) i t just happened that way.  However, many people like Frank who claims to have no natural ability has mastered the skill more than many of us who had them throughout our childhood.  Which kinda goes back to the piano analogy.

I agree with you but it still there is the moral problem. Jesus (if you believe on him) say that if are a good person, blabla and blabla, when you die you go to paradise. Has you can see, it a gift fot being good and for "fighting" well while being alive. How can we conciliate that with the fact that in a certain way you can receive the reward before? This creates another question: after we die, are we going to paradise  or reeincarnate?

for me OBE is not as natural as for goingslow.
I think I still have an argument to say it is natural:
You work for it, overcome fears, face reality... this is not that easy. And you don't get to paradise like this... going to "paradise" like robert bruce did, takes a lot of work on yourself, finding it inside you before being able to enter the collective thing.

I think OBE is a way to understand our path, and actually it doesn't come to one by chance only, the path of each might be very twisted. OBE is not a product you wish you had, and you buy it, even the work is not a way of paying, because the work is pleasant too. It's just something on your path, sometimes obviously, but sometimes not obviously at all (like for me). Now I understand how important it can be, and I can tell you I have still much fear, and don't expect some paradise shortly, but I know a little step on that topic, is a great one on every other... so I would say it is a natural tool, that will be gifted only to those who really call for evolution. And it's a great thing that such a tool exists, this way those who call may be answered in such a vivid way! When I had my first going-out, I thanked God, after all that's a part of his answer to my calls! And what a part!!

First of all, I don't quite agree with the naturalness of walking and talking.  They are natural to you now I'm sure, but these are both learned behaviors.  If you grew up alone and no one talk you language, you wouldn't just know how to communicate.  It's the same with OBE.  Once learned it can be a natural process, some are just lucky to have it happen without having to try.  We all have different gifts, but you should be grateful for those that we lucky enough to experience OBE without previous knowledge, otherwise nobody would even know they exist.  I think that it's a gift that needs to be learned and mastered, and after a great deal of practice is when the reward comes.  I don't think that God would allow us to have OBE if He didn't feel we were worthy of them.

We forget how to OBE and other paranormal things when we combine ourselves with a human body. Its very confusing. Recently, I start to remember.

Heaven, paradise, etc are within, not without. Jesus even said this if you read the Bible. In other words we make our own heavens and hells, reguardless of where you are located. If you project/leave your body what you experience is going to depend a lot on your thoughts, views, and emotions. A happy, loving, caring person will find that on the astral. A mean, hateful person will find a mean hateful environment. You do not have to be on the astral to have this. It works on the physical too. It all depends on your point of view.

OBEs seem to be natural in my opinion. They happen to lots of people, my self included, without any knowledge of them. I think they happen a lot when we are very young, but we forget how to as well as a lot of other things as we become consumed with the physical. OBEs are just like any other skill that people can do: walk, talk, play a sport, draw, paint, sing, etc. All these things take practice to do. Just because we may not be able to do them right out of the womb does not mean that we should not do them. OBEs also have a very profound and positive influence on people, when they understand them. So why should we not do something that seems to be so beneficial to us?

If OBE´s are a good and very important thing for the humans, and if anyone can have it, it is strange that only a few ones can have it in a naturaly way. Thanks to the internet and some books i know obe´s, but if wasn´t that i never knew it. Don´t you think that is strange the fact that we don´t know OBE´s instinctively since child´s, the same way we learn walk or talk?

I fear that OBE´s are not for everyone; maybe we are entering in dangerous waters or maybe we are conquering something that it should be a gift for us, only after we die. It´s like a soccer team using the money (or reward) that it would be won if they conquer the cup, but they are using it even being far away of the first place!

What do you think about this? Is it a non-deserving reward that we are enjoying? Why OBE is not natural (like walk or talk; we must learn it like if we were learning to ride a plane- wich is not a natural thing)?
