Help on conclusion

I really need help in determining what happened here...
So for the past two years, I've been extremely interested in Meditation, astral projection, etc.
I've been trying for the past few weeks expecially to astrally project.

Well last night, before I was going to bed, I was especially tired from a long day of work, so I decided to lay down and try.
I was in fairly deep meditation when this all happened.
I don't know if I fell asleep, maybe, maybe not.
But the next thing I remembered, I was still laying in the bed, and I could feel, I mean literally FEEL, my astral plane head, and my Physical head tearing apart from each other. It didn't hurt, it couldn't be described.
It was just the most intense rush that I've ever felt. EVER.
I was so exhilarated that I snapped out of it, then I sat up and walked to the mirror. When I looked into the mirror I could see my Astral head and my physical head both on the same shoulders. Like I had two heads!

Then I layed back down and fell asleep.

Could anybody give their opinion on what happened?
Do you think it might have all been a dream? Or maybe was it actually happening?
Or maybe it was happening IN my dream?
