Title: Help? please
Post by: missym on March 10, 2010, 11:50:23
So, last night, I was lying my little boy down for bedtime (he sleeps with me), and I decided that since he had already fallen asleep I would try to AP. I rolled onto my left side and started to drift off into sleep, I would wake up and fall asleep, wake up fall asleep etc. I then got strong 'buzzing', 'vibrations', and decided to intensify them. Before I knew it, I popped out! I was standing beside my bed, looking at my room. It didn't look like my room though, there was furniture there that isn't actually there. I decided I wanted to visit a past life. I shouted "Take me to a past life!" then spun around and fell backwards. I landed in a bath tub, in a big navy blue bathroom, I was a man. I was instantly afraid. The door opened and 3 men walked in, I commanded them to leave, but they didn't listen. At this point I still felt incredibly physical. They carried what I think were bats with them, they took a swing at me, and I thought "Bring me back to my physical body", I began to 'shift' back, and I was tingly all over, laying in my bed. I decided to get up, and I walked around my house. I realized after awhile that I didn't actually wake up, I was in my Astral body again. So I decided to make good use of it, spun around and fell backwards. I yelled "Take me somewhere really beautiful!"
I fell through the world at such a great speed, and went through the other end. I watched it become a dot in the distance. Even though I have read about that you cannot get lost while out of body, I got a little scared. I looked at the stars and planets, and thought that it was beautiful, but I wanted to go back to my physical body. I 'shifted' back, and got up again, thinking I was awake. I realized again, that I was out of body, and fell backwards saying "Take me somewhere I really need to be!"
This time, things were a bit different. I clould feel negative beings pulling me backwards, and down down down. I saw the different planes pass by me as they pulled me, but I saw way more than  7. They dragged me to a negative, creepy place. I can't remember what it looks like, I just remember how it felt. I remembered what I have studied though, and told them "I command you to take me back!" They didn't listen, so I told them that they can not hurt me, I would not let them. I then asked for my Higher self to take me back up. "Bring me back up, to athe higher planes." I felt myself get sucked back up, the whole process reversed, and I remember seeing a beautiful garden, all sorts of colours and nature life. The rest of my experience is just a blur, but I remember several more false awakenings, followed by me standing outside of my sleeping body yelling "Wake up!! Wake up!!" I sort of forced myself back in, and I remember having an actual dream, then finally waking up.

If anybody has taken the time to read this, do you think this was an OBE? Or a very vivid lucid dream? It had a different feel than a lucid dream, but I've only had about 3 so maybe I just don't know enough about them.
Thanks! :-)

i think lucid dream missy
cause i get alot of false awakenings and moist of them feel like projecting ,some feel like lucid, soime feel like am physically awake. i just think you get diffrent degrees of false awakenings

am trying to think of a soluton to make you wake up cause i always have this and i do something to wake me up but i guess its that instictive i cat physically remember what i do.

erm
i honestly cant rember sorry. i suppose if i think am gonna have a false awakening and dont want it i drink a tea pot of tea before bed and then go to the toilet.  then by the time its morning am usally desperate for the toilet and so physically have to go cause its uncomfy and that avoids awakenings.

i ll try and think of the thing i do in my dream to wake me up. i actually think reality checks is a good thing cause soon as u realise ur still asleep u wake up or fall into another false awakening.

and strong will to want to wake up helps.

it gets to a point where it really scared me been in a false awakening.
because i would have that many of them that some time during the day i would think "am i just dreaming again" and it jus seems so really that its easy to distrort realitys.

i mean i d have a false awakening about telling my friend something then a few weeks later i d be like remeber when we were talking about this or done that and they would look at me as if to say hmmmmmmmmmm your crazy what you talking about i aint never said or done that.

haha and now when somethign bad and unexpected happens i d be like am i dreaming. please just be dreaming. and it wont hit me till the next morning that it actually happened and really lol

Thats a common thing in AP, the furniture that didnt belong there was from the previous owners of your house/apt that lived there before you did.  The astral furniture will remain for a long, long time (probably forever)

really? how does that work out?  if a 400 year old house kept astral furniture there wud be no room to walk it wud b cluttered.

what happens if i have a chai that i keep in a certain place for 50 years then i move it and keep it in a diffrent part of the room for another 50 years does this mean the chair will exsist in both locations?

I've heard about Astral furniture, that's what I was thinking, but there wasn't one piece of furniture that belonged to me in the room.. is it still possible this was an OBE? It was an amazing experience, regardless whether it was a Lucid dream or OBE. :-)

I really liked that experience, was good to read :).

On that note, what is the difference between a very lucid dream like that ( where she felt very much physical ) as part of a false awakening, and actually Astral Projecting?
Experiences seem very similar in a lot of stories for the most part.

Congrats on the very interesting journey and thanks for the read, it was fun.

If that had happened to me, I would have thought OBE rather than a LD.  I've had OBEs into the RTZ and then had them turn into dream-like sequences, sometimes with false awakenings or just LDs subsequent to falling asleep again.  How the heck can you separate all that out I wonder?

That was a good experience, and nice to read. I think it was an OBE, because in between the journeys you kept coming back to your body. It was also interesting that when you wanted to go where you needed to be, that you went to a negative place. I wonder why you ended up there.

Most of the time I also see different furniture and my room seems to be larger than it really is.  :-)

Astral Projection and Lucid Dreaming seem very similar, in fact sometimes when I'm having a Lucid Dream I become confused in my dream, thinking I'm Astral projecting lol
The biggest difference I think, is a general 'feel'  :-)
