Hemi-Sync - Advanced Focus 10 Experience

Last night I was very tired and had the beginning signs of a migraine and witnessed my first failed migraine visual aura right before bed. Normally when the visual aura appears it's a 45 minute process of progressive visual hallucinations. I was not going to risk it coming back so I headed to bed (even though in the past I have seen the aura in my dreams).

I watched TV for about 20 minutes and then at about 11 PM I put on the headphones and started listening to "Hemi-Sync - Wave I - Discovery 3 - Advanced Focus 10". Focus 10 is that state of "Mind Awake, Body Asleep", and is not necessarily an OBE. This state is a very relaxed state in which you don't feel much of your body anymore and you mind is totally alert.

I listened and did the breathing exercises while relaxing every muscle in my body and after about 15 minutes I found myself in Focus 10.

I was in Focus 10 for about 5 more minutes and then things started getting interesting. The first thing that grabbed my attention was that a mans face appeared (flashed) above me. It was as if I was laying on the ground unconscious and people were standing around me waiting for me to come to. I saw a man directly over me and I could briefly hear him say something, maybe "There he is"? I sensed others standing around him. This quickly faded. I am not sure if this was hypnagogic hallucination or what, but I was alert when I saw it.

Next I found that I no longer felt my body. This was good because I was very relaxed, but it was bad at the same time because I was trying to shift my focus away from my body so that I could transition my consciousness to my higher energy body.

I wanted to test the validity of the state that I was in so I immediately shifted my focus away from my body again and I started to instantly feel a swaying feeling and felt very light. I moved my left hand down and it penetrated the bed and went right through it. I could see that I was already separated and just need to will myself away for my body.

I imagined myself floating away from my body and began to feel a slight floating sensation. I was out of my body at this point. This was abruptly ended when the Hemi-Sync track started talking again.

The moral of this story is that the Hemi-Sync technology seems to work great as a training tool. I am not sure if I induced Focus 10 myself or if it was a direct result of the hemispheric synchronization. I fear that if I continue to listen to these tracks I may become handicapped by them. Has anyone else used these before?

I had the same sort of experience with the Hemi-Sync stuff, but to a lesser degree. The voice coming in constantly giving you instructions so repetitively led me to quit using them all together. For this reason I've switched to using the BrainWave Generator. Mastering Astral Projection by Robert Bruce comes with a bunch of BrainWave Generator presets for various states. Google BrainWave Generator and you'll find a free download. If I can find my original CD I would send you a copy of the presets.

That's some really interesting results you had there. Particularly the part about people standing over you. I wonder if that was part lucid dream or if it was something in the astral.

I can also vouch for the effectiveness of the RMI Hemi-sync CD's.
I had an OBE less than one week after first listening to a hemi-sync CD titled "Spirit's Journey". The OBE did not happen that same night but occured 3 or 4 days later. When I listen to a hemi-sync CD I can feel myself begin to enter an altered state of consciousness. Very powerful.
There are obviously many possibilities there so I heartily recommend listening to those CDs every night if possible. It seems to be working for me at any rate.

Yes, I would recommend them. I think they are just another experience that you can add to your life and from what I can tell they seem to work. The only thing that concerns me about them, and I really can't say that this is valid, but I suspect that I may become dependent on them to be able to project.

When you get ready to buy, you may want to have some money saved up because the CDs cost $300 dollars in US currency.

From what I have read, and experienced, they only help guide you to a certain state of mind. You do not get dependent, actually the opposite. You can get to the same states of mind faster because you have already been there with the Hemi-Sync. Logical right?

For myself, gateway wave 1 has been a decent training tool in helping getting to and understanding the focus 10 state. It has been in no way magic, and I've gotten the best results by doing them occasionally and using what I've learned from them to do it on my own. And they're always good to go back to - they don't get old.

It's not so great of a help that I can recommend it to everyone. It's nothing a dedicated person can't do on their own.

For a cheaper (I'm still reeling from the price for Gateway materials) TMI product tailored for OBE, try 'Hemi Synch Support for Journeys Out of Body'.  There is some voice action in it, but it's much less money than the gateway tapes.

The Hemi-Sync series are a valuable program, much like Monroe states in the beginning of the exercises, these programs are guideposts, his metaphor goes something like; they take you from start to the clearing of the forest, back and forth until you are comfortable to and from that guidepost, then from the clearing to the inside, and back to the outside again, guiding you into comfort and giving the ability to control and recognize the states you are dealing with.

It is an expensive investment, yes and I know.
but if you think about it, you can buy one wave at a time, over the span of 6 months and the cost is more than affordable. It is not an overnight success to OBE program, It is a skill that needs to be practiced like any other.

Most people purchase the tapes, and only do the first wave.

Then give up.

It is not until you get into focus 21 that you develop the out of body skills.

That is the third wave!

Buy wave one, try it, keep an open mind, i promise you will learn something, just keep your mind open.

I agree totally. I think it's effective not because of using it, but because the man dedicated most of his life to this stuff and you can feel the passion and sincerity radiating from him. He was a true visionary and pioneer. His last book was amazing.

I think I will buy this today. I found it for $63.00.

And one last thing about people getting impatient with results . OOBEs are much more than something that you just hear about and start doing. Once you realize that you have the power to touch the lives of the living and those who have passed on and to see the universe for what it truely is you will most certaining dedicate your life to perfecting the skill. This is a lifesytle change not a weekend project.

Its hard to break the effects materialism has made on our current society, where doing something for our own personal gain is normal, but helping others is truly a humbling experience,
