In my opinion Hemi-sync works for other or not at. And personally I dont understand how it works, because it doesn't work for me. I have tried differenty hemisync many times, and nothing important has ever happened. But just for the record, I can't be hypnotised either. I know a lot of people believe that EVERYONE can be hypnotised, but amateurs and pro's alike have been able to hypnotise me. I have noticed listening to hemi-sync where it is actually Monroe speaking, that the way he puts words and his tone of voice are very similar to hypnosis. If you are able to be hypnotised, I truly believe that hemi-sync will give you exactly what the tape promises. Otherwise, I think it's worthless beyond words for anything other then maybe relaxing yourself. I encourge anyone that is effected by hemi-sync study up a little on hypnosis, and find out if that ALSO effects you. If they do, then perhaps you can't really consider the experiences valid. Maybe doing it completely sober with no help other then yourself will you discover that OBE really are possible.
Being able to project without the aid of Hemi-Sync must be preferable (although, in all fairness, TMI say that H-S is like training wheels and won't be needed forever). However, I believe that the real strength of H-S with regards to projection is that the tapes seem to be able to make phasing into different Focuses a lot easier. Read Far Journeys by Monroe. [:)]
I havent tried Hemi-sync. But i too have never been able to be hypnotised (It was very embarrassing when the entertainment for a wedding i was at was a hypnotist lol)
For me Brain Wave generator certainly does the best job for getting into a deep state. I would prefer to use nothing, but it's jus too darn noisey where im at.
Blah.... Damm Planes!!!!
m0d0, how about Robert Bruce's suggestion of using the white noise from a TV or radio?
Oh really,
I didnt realise that could work. I'll certainly give it a try. Anything to get rid of the din. I hoping to develope my meditation so that noises and such don't interfere. But for now any sound will do.
Where Did Robert Bruce mention white noise. I dont have any of his books yet, so i was just wondering incase i missed something.
Cheers Huwie.
Mo.
He mentions it in the Treatise, near the start. If it's too noisy, just dial in an "offset" radio station so you hear static/white noise. Believe it or not, this is a wonderful technique!
I have meditated for quite a few years, and I am able to focus with noises around me. (To a certain degree) But you wont catch me trying to do it at a family get together. lol!
Sorry for the spam post, but LOL Dragen! [:D]

What do many of you think of Hemi-Sync? Do you think it works? Or even helps? Or is it one of those things that only some people get results out of it, while others not?
I, personaly, believe the program works. As far as I know it's suppose to be useable by virtually anyone.

The concepts of Hemi-Syng are rather intriguing, but does it actually cause the brain to do what they say it does? And why in the world do they have so many different "versions".
I have confidence in what the audio recordings are meant to do. I have seen a few customer posts about it, and all comments point to it being a good program. I assume there are different versions because the narrative on the audio exercises are geared towards different goals.

What do you guys think? Do any of you use it? Any results?
I have just recently ordered and recieved "The Gateway Experince" and have been using it with some regularity. As of now I'm still on the first CD. Personally, I feel very relaxed and comfortable with it. I have practiced relaxation techniques for some time now, and although I don't feel any 'profoundly different' results from the CDs just yet, they certainly help lull you consciously into a very relaxed state, one that I feel I would normally need to spend more time achieving. And, most importantly, you are given suggestions on how to instantly achieve said states of relaxation.
So, personally, I belive the program is worth it. As I progress with it I plan on posting more about it.
I was also wondering about this. As far as I can tell it doesn't work like hypnosis at all. The sound patterns have an affect on your brain wave frequencies and this is supposedly a biologically, scientifically proven effect. I don't think the sounds do more than allow you to train yourself to get into the various states with less resistance. Like someone said, trainging wheels. I think you still have to do imagery work and meditation and whatnot, am I right?
I am interested in hearing peoples exeriences with this also.
Based on what i've read, Hemi-Sync takes two "out of phase" sounds from each other and they play them (or many of them, depending on the sound) in different ears. This causes the brain to figure out a solution to the two sounds so it will create a 3rd "clock pulse" which stimulates consciousness.
I listened to a few of the cd's, and it's very relaxing. The "strange" sounds they use are actually static in nature, with some other white-noise effects. But on top of that, they lay down a nice flowing stream of water and some musical instruments. It's actually quite nice.
I didn't experience anything out of the ordinary. And i'm not sure I noticed any significant improvements.. but it may take time, so I can't say for sure. I wasn't sure if any of you got good results.
The one thing that is nice, is the sound keeps you from hearing minor distractions around you. But I also think this can be bad, because there will probably be times that you need to meditate and project when you don't have a portable cd player, etc.
I still believe it's important to make this learning process as natural as possible. Keeping Salvia, Hemi-Sync, muscle relaxers, or Hyper Dimensional Resonators (I'm serious, it's a "real" time machine which can also induce OBE's) out of the picture. Though, if using Hemi-sync at first is really like "training" wheels to get your focus up to speed.. then that would probably be ok!
I like the training wheels analogy. [:)]
I've tried the white noise from a radio before and suprisingly it worked quite well. It's constant so it doens't distract you from your goal, but at the same time gives you something to focus your attention on to keep your mind clear. If it's bothersome you can turn it down untill you find just the right pitch. It didn't push me over any threshold or anything though. I'd say it's a great concentration tool.
