No, you definitely don't have to be nude to project. I personally think the only two things needed to project are focus and comfort. If you're not comfortable, you probably won't be able to focus. If you can't focus, you probably won't be able to project.

If you're not comfortable wearing clothes while attempting projection, try it nude. If you're more comfortable when you're wearing clothes, wear clothes. Just do whatever makes you more comfortable.

I read a book published by Llewellyn (can't remember the title now) but one of the two authors was Melita Denning, and it said to only attempt projection in the nude.

You gotta understand that some projection books are written by occultists and they are often steeped in tradition.  I'll bet that a lot of times they don't even know why they do some of the things they do.  That's just the way they were taught so that's how they teach.
be awesome.

So very true!
They were taught that way, so it becomes a part of their construct that "in order to do this" they "must do that"... which is really all just in their heads.  :)

Thats the way I see it also, they discovered a method that worked for them so they automatically think thats the rule of thumb, when all it is just one of many methods
