The Night Mist

I would like to ask this question that has been bothering me...
I have had about 4 close encounters with OBE's due to some lucky Lucid Dreams, so I immediately tried to project from them...but the sensations I felt were...very different from what I have heard. Those vibrations that people speak of, I'm not sure I felt them...what I feel is:
...You know that noise that rings in your years when you ,hmm how do you say in English "yawn"(I'm not sure if this is the correct word for it, but I am referring to when you are sleepy and you open your mouth like that :P, I hope you guys know what I mean...)...so anyway, I hear that sound in my ears and it's like water boils in my, and it's hot.
What do you think...am I close?...Has anyone encountered this before?...Is this what you are suppose to feel or are the vibrations, or strange noises necessary?...I also don't see anyone or anything strange if I open my eyes from an LD, even though I am, theoretically, in sleep paralisis...
So...ideas?   :?:

Well, I know the feeling/noise you're trying to describe, but from what you've said it doesn't match the classic definitions of the vibrations most people feel, however, don't feel discouraged, as experiences vary from person to person. Keep it up.
If I were to give in, would you think me weak?

Great!
And how should I do this then...because when I get lucid I immediately try the ROPE technique and that is when the sounds and other sensations come , but if I stop pulling on the rope it stops, so should I just keep pulling hard and focus on it until I project or pull on it a little and try to move...or maybe something else?

Thanks! :)
:D *does happy dance*

It's all trail and error, Night Mist.  What may work for one person won't work for another person.  Not only that, but what works for you one time may have to be changed the next time you try.  There are so many variables!

However, just play around with it.  When you are in that lucid state and you start pulling on the imaginary rope, see how things go.  First try and just steadily pull.   If pulling at it harder works for you at that moment, then obviously go with it.

Good luck!

Yeah, I guess so...it's just that lucid states are so rare to me, I just wish I could get lucid more often...heh, well anyway Thanks all of you for help on this...  :D
