It's all in my eyes. I can have my body relaxed, my vibrations going, I try to fall deeper into the vibrations, as they say the more vibrations you push through, the stronger the experience, and at one state, the vibrations will stop. When I lie there, my eyes closed, no feeling in my body, no sensation, my eyelids become so relaxed they start to open just slightly. I see lights and colors and at night, I can see around my room, eyes completely closed. But I'm never sure when to open my eyes. And the more I concentrate on it, the more my eyes try to jet all over the place. I just don't know what to do here. When can everyone else open their eyes to look at themselves lifting an astral limb?

What's the problem? This doesn't seem bad to me. It's normal and... I don't even see the point in this question.

I just can't figure out when to open my eyes so I can get out. After it's all said and done, I can't get out because I don't know when I've reached that point. I keep my eyes closed waiting for "some sign" and eventually I lose it all, seemingly because I wait too long. And when I do try to open my eyes, it's too soon and I lose it too.

Slix

the fact that you're concentrating on something that you shouldn't need to concentrate on may have something to do with it. i always just ignore the fact that i cant see and imagine that i can, sooner or later i realise that i can see and problem of no sight is solved without even having to worry about it (this is assuming i actually made it out of body).

Kinda sounds like you're 'expecting' too much and are not 'allowing' things to happen naturally.
Don't expect... just allow.  :)

Also... try wearing a mask, that way you won't get that annoying 'light' peeking in.  ;)

I don't ever recall "opening my astral eyes". I just start seeing. It kinda fades in quickly, much in the way a vision fades into view during a meditation. It's not something I really choose to do, it just comes along with the process.

Thanks Stookie, that's what I was looking for. That's what I thought, but I get stuck on it. That's probably my issue as Slix stated. And Xanth, I was thinking the same thing. I just didn't want anything in the physical world to interfere. I try to wear as little clothes as possible. I guess that shouldn't be an issue. I've only been able to project a few times and they were on accident, two coming from a LD. I'll try these things in my attempt this afternoon. Thanks everyone, your replies sorta meshed for my answer I needed. :)

No one 'opens their eyes to look at their astral limbs'.  As Stookie said, I just want to elaborate a little more on this.
Astral Sight is something that happens, and it doesn't always happen as an OBE precursor, sometimes it's its own experience.
It is often that you separate without seeing at all, sometimes you have to get away from your body to get sight.  There are hundreds of posts out there from people wanting to know what to do to overcome projection blindness, and hundreds of suggestions, but the only one that works for me without fail is to get away from my body.
I think that 'trying to open your eyes' defeats the purpose of projection, because if you haven't phase-shifted yet, you will direct your attention to your physical body and make yourself wake up- the best thing is to ignore 'trying to see' and use the cues you are experiencing, and to move on to a separation technique or an energy-body loosening technique.  If none of those work, you're just not in deep enough to project.
