Mini stapler

I'm new here, so HI!! I'll start by explaining my username... There was a mini stapler on my desk, now that's out the way!! Just gonna chuck an experience out there that I've had and a question I have that I've not been able to find either answered or asked or anything actually to do with it anywhere, maybe I didn't look hard enough! Now, I'm open minded but I don't believe what I read/hear until I've experienced it myself or there is overwhelming evidence from many different sources, then I make my own judgment, so I'm still in the research phase, so I'm unsure what I really think about AP's, what they are?? whats actually happening?? Only way i can answer these questions is to experience them myself and compare notes with you lovely people, hence why I'm here :) I realise it's quite long, and I'm sorry about that, I just wrote it as the words entered my head! I also noticed I may switch between english & american english, I spell checked a few words

3 or 4 times in one week I had the sleep paralysis kick in with no previous intentions of having an experience in the slightest, 1st time I noticed the paralysis, then some very intense vibrations which freaked me the hell out along side loud ringing and buzzing sounds, and I struggled my way out of it trying to move and woke myself. I had read about this topic before, so I knew what I had experienced was seemingly the beginning of a AP. so I'm laying in bed the 2nd night, get the sleep paralysis again unintentionally, then the vibrations which just kept on getting more & more intense, the vibrations alone were quite a bloody experience, I kept myself calm & just went with it and then it just stopped, and it was like I was no where & completely conscious??

All I really remember of it was the color of my surroundings, dark purple spiraling in darkness I guess and I felt like I was just floating in the middle of a void of nothingness! I felt completely calm during this experience, nothing negative about it at all. I find it difficult to put into words that accurately describe what it was like!

Anyway, so nothing at all happened, next thing I know I've woken up and it's morning, what i described is all I could remember when I woke, I get up & I feel great, I mean like... I'd just had a led jacket removed, psychically, emotionally & mentally, I had so much energy, I could literally feel it coursing through my body, I was ridiculously happy, happier than I had ever felt in my life, not even an exaggeration (I'm not a naturally happy person, feel quite neutral most of the time, so this was very weird to me) & my mind just felt sharper than ever & more aware & awake.

I felt like I could take on anything, & I had no idea why!! I had no profound experience, from what I could remember nothing happened, I only saw my environment which was not made up of 'things' & objects... just the spirally purpleness energy like stuff swirling around (that's the technical term for it)! So did some research and all I could find on how people had felt after was saying they were happy they finally did it or excited about the next one, kind of stuff... nothing like the drastic changes I had from my standard day to day feelings, which we will call 5/10 for the sake of measuring, to the pumped up 13/10 after the experience (or what ever the hell it was)!

This feeling lasted probably the best part of a week, and wore off gradually as the days past. I had 2 or 3 more that got to the point of vibrations before I struggled my way out of it, though now I kind of wish I had just done as previous and went with it again as I think my confidence about it was fairly high at that point, fear of the unknown probably kicked in!

From what I have read though, during Ap's things tend to happen, you go places, people talk to you that kind of stuff. So it makes me think it was a dream & I was just conscious for it, but I've had a lot of lucid dreams & I've always been in a worldly environment, always had a noticeable body and things have always been going on around me, nothing at all like what I had experienced. & I've never woken up feeling like superman!! so to speak lol If it wasn't for the changes that came around after the event, I probably would instantly dismiss it as a weird lucid dream...

I'd just love to hear anything anyone has to say about this, opinions, thoughts, similar experience... Could it be a dream? An AP? The start of an AP? Or nothing really at all?? Why would I feel such a big change for the week after, is it a standard part of process, do most people feel like this after?? Was this seemingly non-profound experience, actually a really profound experience but I just didn't understand why?? To sum it up... What the hell??!! I look forward to reading any thoughts on what I've said. :D p.s Sorry If you feel I've wasted your time with this massive post!

Hi Stapler :D  That's quite an interesting name and kind-of gives me the giggles too.
Anyway, your expereinces sound really neat.
It seems you and me are having similar expereinces, I get the same thing as you- the vibrations and sleep paralysis, then I'd fall through my bed or suddenly feel like I'm walking around in the room.  Before I knew that people can actually explore other places I knew there had to be a purpose in it all.
I don't know what that void of nothingness is and have experienced the exact same.  It's like being in an endless dark room and you're feeling your way around wondering what on earth is going on and I think(don't quote me on this) that it may be that our souls haven't moved far away from our bodies to yet have clarity or that there may be a "void" that leads onto other levels.  Usually when I'm in that dark void, I try to aim upwards for the stars-crazy as it sounds.
Other people here have more profound experiences and more knowledge so they may be able to help you out better.  I'm here to learn too and hopefully have better ap's.

I really don't think it is a dream, dreams usually have a different quality.

Hi shivers! Glad I'm not the only one to end up in dark!! lol Yes I had read about being close to your body can give you trouble seeing, I haven't had the sense of leaving my body before, but I have only the one experience to go by! How are you after you have an AP?? Any changes in mood or anything like I mentioned in my post?? The changes I felt after were the most interesting thing to me, such an extreme difference from usual! I've never really tried to AP before, but the sleep paralysis, vibrations & noises seem to happen every now and again, but I have only the experience where I didn't resist the vibration and just went with it. But I think intentionally having an AP is something I will try to do, very interested in what will happen in future attempts! Everyone here will be more experienced than me, any help I can get will be great! Thanks for the reply. :D

Shivers

Usually I'm fairly normal(haha!) after having an AP if not just a bit more relaxed.  But then I focus on relaxation and meditation everyday, it helps alot.

I only wish I could help you, but it looks like we are at a similar level, both newbies :)

Mini stapler

hmmm... yep I'm defo a newbie!! lol I have no direct knowledge about this stuff, just what I have read & the one experience. but It's something I'm interested In and will pursue further, thanks for your comments shivers :D

I definitely don't think there's any shame in being new to all of this. :-D  There must be so many people out there in the same boat as us with a developing spirituality or whatever you wanna call it.
There does seem to be such a plethora(sp?) of information out there on the subject of astral travel and to be honest, I really find it a bit overwhelming to the point where my mind must be too saturated with info and no my AP's have stopped :-(

It sounds like you have reached Focus 21 (aka the 3D Blackness). A lot of people skip right over Focus 21 because their intent is set on Astral Projection but if you are just meditating and clearing your mind or "going with the flow" and don't really have any intent you reach a point in meditation that the yogis call samadhi, and from this point you will have the whole floating in a dark swirly energy void thing experience hehe.

I remember the first time that I reached this state I was in the best mood for a long time and the very next day I woke up and got on here to thank Ryan (Xanth) for putting together his Phasing Primer (which I would highly recommend you to read, should you have the desire to continue all of this  :-) ). It is an awesome experience and I'm glad to hear that you've reached that state. I hope you keep experimenting with it, and keep us up to date!

All the best,
doster
You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one. Perhaps some day you'll join us, and the world will live as one.

Lionheart

You are spot on there Dotster, if you have no focused intent you will just float in the 3D void until you are finished your session. All you really need to do to counter that though is to jump start your trip with some kind of scenery or "safe zone" that you feel comfortable with. Then you just let the experience morph from there.
Good Luck and Safe Travels  :-)

Mini stapler

Thanks for the replies dobster & lionheart! Yes that sounds like what it was, I'm glad to be able to reach some kind of understanding of the experience. I will defo make a point of reading that, thanks dobster, I'm very interesting in continuing with this, I will post again when I have a AP experience, soon hopefully! Thanks for the replies!  :-D

I feel euphoric after having a good AP experience. It will last me a few days. I often end up in the 3D blackness lately because I'm having difficulty deciding what my intent will be and my projections are sporadic at best. I chalk this all up to being new to this as well. At least is fun in the dark flying around.  :-)

Shivers

Lol, it feels like being into a photographic dark room where prints are being developed.
You know you're there, you can feel, but the lack of sight is a bit annoying.

Think I'm going to have to read up a bit more on focus 21/3d blackness.  Amazing how people have names for all this stuff.
