How did you train them?

Or hallucinations? Yes, I just came from a thread about OOBEs being dreams. I've had very little experience with OOBEs, but from what I've experienced, I'd definitely agree with you. It goes beyond my imagination how I could dream anything so vivid while being totally conscious, plus what I observed seemed completely authentic (I actually wound up inside one of my eyeballs, so not exactly out-of-body, but if you think about the symbolism(?) of looking around inside your own eyeball, you'll understand why this experience stays with me).

I've also had waking hallucinations, always of spiders. I'm awake, my eyes are open, but I can't move. I see a spider on the wall or crawling under my blanket, but over time it fades away into nothing. There is never any way to tell the spider isn't completely real, except that it fades away, and completely vanishes.

I had a friend who was skeptic so we did a test. I told him to set any of his X-Box games on his desk until I can successfully project over there and tell him what game he set on his desk. 2 Days later, I did an afternoon projection and proceeded to his house, I failed. Later that night, I attempted again and this time when I got there I looked on his desk and thought I fell into the 'Alice' effect because I saw 2 X-Box games and couldn't really make them out so I considered this a failure too.

The next day I told him I think I slipped into some astral dream because I saw 2 X-box games and couldn't make out either one. Plus, I knew he had only put 1 there. When I told him this, he looked at me like he had seen a ghost and when I asked what was wrong, he told me he put 2 games instead of 1 just to see if I'd really do it because in a dream I could make a good guess based on expectations, so he started to become a believer.

After about a day of teaching him the MECHANICS of projecting he was able to get to the VIBRATIONAL STATE. He said he'd never been so scared in his life when that happened. A day later he was able to consciously exit from the VIBRATIONAL STATE but only stayed out a few seconds. He's had several since then and is a full believer on leaving the body.

I taught a cousin but the VIBRATIONAL STATE scared her so much she hasn't really been trying to do it even though she's found herself out a few times since, she's too scared and said she just wants to go to sleep normally from now on.

I guess some people aren't ready for this........

Neat story. What did you teach him about that resulted in him being able to feel the vibrations?

Also, it's definitely true what you say about being ready.

In my case, except for the "getting out of body" sensation, I don't see a huge difference after that...  Maybe an higher level of lucidity, but that's about it.  I thought we were naturaly going "out of body" every night, even if we are not aware of it...???

Now, in the RTZ, it's another story.  Never had one.

In my case, I was using OOBE to map out people's houses and rooms with quite a bit of success. There were major differences but that is to be expected of OOBE, as you are not technically in the actuall world but "on the other side of the coin" so to speak, in theory at least [:I]

I would like to add that I had never been to most of these houses and rooms before, and the wide eyed looks on peoples faces were a good sign as well as very refreshing [:D]

Instead of teaching him a specific Technique, I just taught him HOW and WHY a projection happens and he was able to experience it himself. The Mechanics of projection are simple, you don't really need a technique.

When the natural projection reflex took place, the vibes kicked in for him I guess but he said it was the scariest shlt he's ever experienced.

Sneaking in your friends house while Astrally Projecting?! Wow, you are getting someone very excited here! How far does your friend live from you btw? Did you float your way to him, or some sort of teleportation?

Great story!:D

Tescious

It was difficult, very difficult. It wasn't really sneaking because he knew I was gonna try even though he didn't believe it could happen though. The first time, I had trouble even getting the Vibrations, then when I got the Vibes, I'd get out but be zapped back in before I had even made it to the main door of my house. I don't know how to fly or travel instantly, I guess that takes time and patience.

Then that night I was more concentrated and it took all my concentration to make it to his house, didn't want to fall into a fantasy or anything. He lives 3 blocks behind me but I'd say he's less than a football fields length if I'da went a strait line.

I usually project from the Etheral and within about 5-10 minutes I'll just 'end up' in the Astral but still aware of what's going on.

Your friend is quite lucky Tescious to learn that quickly, but then I believe that some people are just more 'open' to these experienes than others.

To those people who think that OBE's and dreams are the same: There's a BIG difference between astral projection and dreams. Projections have a clarity and realness about them that easily rivals anything in the fully awakened state, in fact my favorite explanation of whether or not you've had an OBE comes from Albert Taylor (author of 'Soul Traveller') who said "If you have to ask, then you were dreaming".

When you've had an OBE, there aren't any doubts about the experience!

I see alot of people make posts and the like saying that OOBE's are nothing but dreams. Wow.....just wow. I've had experience with WAKE INDUCED LUCID DREAMS as well as ASTRAL PROJECTION and anybody whose ever had a CONSCIOUS one can tell you that you actually LEAVE THE BODY.

When I Consciously project, as soon as the Vibrations hit, my Consciousness is as good as it is in waking life, and the separation process alone is enough to KNOW it's no dream. You can feel and hear yourself ripping out of your body.

Plus, there have been plenty of tests done by organizations like THE MONROE INSTITUTE. I've trained both friends and family that were skeptics and now are well believers based on the Vibrations alone. All I can say is that you don't have to believe you can actually leave the body, but boy are you missing out on a lot.
