Alright so last night I had drank some alcohol (I dont drink often) and I got very drunk, I was so drunk that I just went right to bed, my head was spinning right when I closed my eyes and I felt horrible, eventually I awoke in a very dark place, I was crawling around in the same spot because it was very hard to move, I felt like every movement I made was pain and Wanted to die, I laid motionless In the darkness, in pain, for what seemed like quite a while before I finally lost my consciousness and fell asleep, Where was this  place I ended up?

Hangoverville :-)
LOL, that's a Classic there. I guess we have all been there at one point or time and yes, it's not a pleasant visit!  :-(

It a good job you didn't need the white telephone to god.

I think it was a wonderful experience for you. lol

I would say since u were under the effect of alcohol, your experience cant really be counted as an OBE!! Whether u had the OBE or not you would have hallucinated anyway!!  Or maybe u were really crawling about in your dark room (i mean your physical self)...u never know!! LOL!!!  :-D
To astral project is an art

You run the risk of going to the lower astral realms where it is said you can become bad , mad , or dead . Its best not to drink to that point .  desert rat

Actually, I'd say it's the opposite... due to "thought = action".

As a result of projecting while angry... you'll create a reality around you which supports and fuels this emotion.

This is why I don't believe all the talk of "higher" or "lower" astral realms... because it's all a reflection of your own consciousness/mental state.

Especially in relation to 123mac123's experience.  His state of mind created the reality which he found himself interpreting.

Lol, as no one seems to try answering the question I'll take a stab.

Maybe this is God showing you the place people go, the ones that continue drinking/drugs, for a long time after they die and are waiting for another incarnation.
I've had an OBE similar to this, except I was sober when I had it. I asked myself if it was really worth it to stop drinking/drugs and when I went to sleep and woke up I found myself in a great black void. The only difference is that I found a door in this void that lead to a house party going on (I use to party every weekend, and half the time I wouldn't even feel like it). But in the end I ended up in fear running back into this great void. Every since I've been sober and discontinued partying.

That's my opinion

You ended up in an alcohol or dehydrated state of subconscious awareness. Sounds like a fever dream or a miacrogogic awareness.

Boom

Yeah alcohol and astral projection does not fit in well.  You are required to have a straight line of sharp concentration to achieve a good projection experience. We all know that alcohol makes you lose control of your conscious mind somewhat.

Also agree with Xanth. If you're feeling low.. don't project!   Sometimes i have abandoned AP attempts because my mind has filled itself up with negative things, and I knew that would lead to a negative experience.

I never thought much about higher and lower realms.  What Xanth says makes sense.  If you are angry you will create awful things.  It is your state of mind how things will be.

Like attracts like, especially in the NPR where Thought=Action!  :-)

interesting. i actually just had a "similar enough" experience... though it wasn't painful. it is why i am now up at 5 in the morning and NOT ready to lay back down. it's why i am on the site. i took some pain medication earlier today, so not alcohol. i didn't "wake up" out of my body, i consciously projected.

HOWEVER, i would like to comment on the seemingly ill effects of substances/obes. i can't even for sure say that was the problem, but it is what my bf suggested and it makes sense.

pretty much, i found myself in sleep paralysis (my goal was a projection) and i rolled out as i was unable to just stand up at first. i had tried standing up a couple times and kept finding myself drug back down to my body. so i got out by rolling out, but once that was accomplished i felt GLUED to the floor. i finally was able to get up and i walked through my bedroom door briefly as i couldn't seem to "jump" out of the room. i kept being pulled back. eventually i did get out, out of the house i mean, but i couldn't see much/was very sluggish, and i ended up back with my body. i had decided to abort the whole thing but i could not become un-paralyised. i had a couple of false awakenings, as confirmed by my bf who could not hear me begging him to pinch me/move me/talk to me. apparently i seemed peacefully asleep :/

i'm pretty upset about it because it has recreated the fear associated with obes i had worked to overcome. so, to the OP, your experience sounds worse, but i get it... can anyone else comment on whether it could have been the substances that contributed to these experiences? or was i just in a bad head space? or maybe it was the head space, but that was b/c of the medication? from what the comments said maybe you all think it is a state of mind thing ? yuck. that really was unpleasant.

The substances may have hindered your movement because you didn't have an entirely clear focus. It has been reported quite a bit that substances aid in helping people reach the NPR. But once they are there they normally lack control over their experiences. That's why they say drugs and AP don't mix well together.

I'm pretty sure there are noticeable differences between F21 and F27, or Frank's F2 vs F3... it's the difference between subjectivity and objectivity. It's important to learn the difference so you don't get stuck in your own illusion or take symbolism literally.
