you need to mutually agree to do it and focus on it.

Both need to detail their experiences through the night in writing

compare the accounts for commonalities.

The appearance of the dream may be different for both of you but if your focus is consistent you will start to see common elements in the experiences.

In my astral projections I commonly see people I know, mostly people I went to highschool with. I do wonder whether these projections are ever shared experiences for these people. Does dream sharing also happen at random? How do you tell the difference between an entity you are creating and one that is sharing your dream?

The only way to tell is to have both people record experiences and dreams and look for commonalities. The experiences will rarely appear the same but when you compare them over time you will see things like a predominate color, common action or movement, common ambiance.

Look for adjectives and verbs. Identifiers people places and things are made by the conscious mind which functions poorly in astral.

Occasionally the appearance is the same but this is less common. The appearance does  not have to be identical in order for the experience to be mutual.

There is no need for a mutual agreement; this is science talking making things easier. It is possible to enter someone's dream consciously without the other's conscient. Use the numbers 52 and 25 as you see fit. If you find numbers a little vague, then meditate on them and a course of action will be revealed. I didn't use them yet, but a demon conveyed these numbers to me as i also wanted to enter someone's dream in the past. When i let the desire fade, the demon appeared with these numbers. I don't know how to use them, but i do know that they represent hooks and are necessary for the action.

Then at that point, it's a battle of wills... why would you knowingly do that to someone else?  That's paramount to being psychically attacked.

The idea is to get past your imagination. Until you learn to do that you will just be playing with your fantasies. The feel of what you are looking for is very subtle. Those subtle undertones are easily overwhelmed by the conscious mind. With practice you.learn to distinguish that deep current. Working with a partner makes it easier to distingush between the superficial Screamer who is imagination and the deep subtle whisper which is spirit

It can be done solo but the learning compounds in difficulty without consistent feedback.
