When I have a lucid dream or astral projection theres always this ear pain like my ear drum wants to come out. You know how you can make your ears click, I think when I astral project thats the only thing I can feel of my physical body. The pain in the ear usually starts when I realize im laying in my bed having an experience. I should probably try to ignore my body but thats hard now. I think its connected to the vibration I get in the center of my head. Im gonna try to not try to make my experience longer then maybe I wont feel the pain. Its like all the intense vibration in the center of my brain translates to my left ear now. I think the eperience might last longer if I dont try to make it last longer and just go with the flow.

The only time your ear hurts is when you try to astral project?

yeah it only hurts when I astral project.

Could also be the bad pillow I sleep on and my ear is laying on it and I sleep on my left side

I know from personal experience that the body becomes more sensitive to the touch when experiencing bilocation, at least for me... I remember once I was projecting and felt this horrible pain like someone was tearing into my stomach in the OBE. When I woke up I realized my arm was tucked underneath my body and the pressure it placed on my stomach was the cause.

Perhaps you should find a more comfortable pillow?

The answer is easy.Don't opose the vibrations/trance state, you can hear very loud and weird sounds.Just flow with it.And try to become as relaxed as you can possible so that you can fully project.
