HI
I don't try and make anything happen, it just does when I am way way over tired and trying to get to sleep. OR... when just waking up in the morning and still very very tired and kind of drifting back to sleep.
so I get the buzzing in my head, and sometimes heavy vibrations, they still somewhat scare me, but I also know that I need to just let go and go with the flow.
Last night though... they started, and I fought it, then it kind of takes over me and I can't fight it, kind of like a sleep paralysis but I'm moving too... strange... but I was trying to get up to get away from it and found myself trying to stomp my feet on the floor to let my husband know I was up and needed help... then I saw my dog that sleeps in the doorway and he is white and black, the white looked like he was under a black light,  very bright... then I made my way downstairs into the office trying to let my husband know I was there in the room with him, and he didn't hear me or see me. Then I found myself waking up in my bed and my dog was scared of me. So I have no idea what happened. :?  When I told my husband what happened, he asked me what he was doing, and I told him what I saw him doing, but he wasn't doing what I saw????  Any input would be greatly appreciated

Sounds like AP to me!
Maybe you 'interpreted' what he was doing, incorrectly? If that makes any sense..
Bring into play the divine within you, so on the stage of life you can fulfill your high destined role.

One possible interpretation of this is that you ended up in the astral plane, and didn't see him in the flesh, but your idea of him doing what he either had been thinking about at another time, or what he did at another time.  Since the astral is moldable (after all it is a collective creation) what you see doesn't always correspond with what is.
One thing you can do is ask him if he has been thinking or dreaming of doing whatever you saw him doing.

or she lost consciousness before she got out and slipped into a lucid dream about ap. I guess it all depends and besides that its up to the person to know which is which, there are differences once you know both states well enough.

I posted my astral theory not too long ago and I think it might help make sense of this.  I always assumed that the astral was just above the RTZ and therefore if we first projected to the RTZ we would be able to see our reality from a higher dimensional perspective.  I still agree with the idea, but not the arrangement.

For me, the astral (as well as dreams) take place in a collective unconscious (the noosphere or perhaps even what we think of as the akashic records) where all exists and every possible thought or reality can be accessed.  This is also the place where psychics see information.  It is where our connections are made.  The RTZ on the other hand (after some note comparison with kurt) seems to be a physical dimension, one up from ours.  From the perspective of the "RTZ" beings their reality is physical just like ours is to us.  To us though, the RTZ seems ethereal and distant.

In this regard, I think that most of the situations where we believe we projected and see our normal environments from physical reality that don't look anything like what they do in waking consciousness, are indeed Astral Projections.  I think lucid dreaming has a different feel about it.  My reasoning for that is because I think that dreaming, lucid dreaming, and astral projection all take place in the same collective unconscious "space", but in each one our attention is focused in that place to a greater or lesser degree.

I can't say a lot about lucid dreaming because I don't do it much, but the few times I have it always feels just a little more vague than an AP.  Maybe not though.  Not a lot of experience, like I said.  For me though, things become clearer in AP.  So it seems like more energy is focused in that "Astral" place when APing versus Dreaming.

Now a dimensional projection, where you actually increase the vibration of your awareness and energy and shift up in dimension would be moving to the RTZ.  You can move to the Astral from higher dimensions as well.  All consciousness can "Astral Project", it just may be easier for those in higher dimensions, presumably because they have more energy available to them compared to us.

So I think it was a normal astral projection painted by your mind.  You said you were trying to get your husbands attention to help you, so you were probably focused on him and imagining where he was and what he was doing (whether you were aware of it or not) and so that's what you saw.
be awesome.
