Hello everyone,
Hello FACTS
QuoteI actually start trying OBE years ago, yes years ago, I knew all about vibrations and weird noise signal and stuff like Brain Wave Generator.
However, I never had any experience on OBE yet! Maybe only one flying dream weeks ago which is ended after 30 seconds and I woke up from it.
This really made me sad, I had tried all the ways and recent I had been listening to "Boxed Nirvana", the mp3 from brainwave gen. found in this forum, yes I helped me to have some closer signal, but never succeed.
The common problem I found throughout the years is that I either kept my self too alert making me couldn't fall asleep at all, or I slept directly, after I sleep, I just had dreams as normal, I never feel like I had one dream that I know I am dreaming. (-how to build up the sense of questioning myself if I am dreaming inside the dream?)
There are techs for that, I'll get to it in the end.
QuoteFew questions I would like to ask:
1, How should I actually bring myself into OBE signal? (i.e. feel like awake but cannot move and hearing some weird radio noises)
There are other symptoms, and sometimes there are none, but you should try progressive relaxation and breathing techs.
Quote1a, While I lay on bed, having my body relaxed, should I:
- Keep my mind focused on something? (when my mind relaxed, I ALWAYS slept, but when I stay focused, I can't sleep at all)
Yes, but not focused on 'something', more like change things- count your breaths, do some visualizations, other types of meditative techs. If this messes with your sleep patterns, do it in the early morning (about 2 hours before you usually wake up).
Quote- Where should my eye focus in the "dark"?
Wherever doesn't matter. Wherever it's comfortable. You don't see with your eyes, so it doesn't matter.
Quote- Should my ear focus on any noise like the "wee" sound?
I do, but I leave it for last, when I'm done with all the meditation/trance work, and I feel I'm close.
Quote1b, While listening to brainwave generator or similar thing, should I:
- Keep working on computer or reading books?
No, you can't reach trance if you are awake and doing stuff. That's like asking if you should read while sleeping. Not compatible.
Quote- Sleep on bed staying awake? (Paying attention to the waves)
If it doesn't mess with your sleep. I prefer a recliner. The same reason as to why they say you shouldn't read or watch TV in bed. However, everybody does it. But, most people are sleep deprived. So there you go.
Quote- Sleep on bed staying awake? (Not paying attention to the waves)
Paying or not paying attention doesn't make any difference because the synchronization does not depend on you 'listening', just you 'hearing'. However, any distraction of this sort is good to keep your monkey mind from taking over.
Quote- Sleep on bed staying relaxed?
I don't recommend it, although you can wake later and find yourself projecting spontaneously. It has happened to me once or twice.
Quote- Sleep on bed and sleep with the wave?
How is this different than the previous one?
Quote2, How can I find myself dreaming inside the dream?
You always dream. The trick is to wake up inside the dream.
Quotea, I almost never ever thinks I am dreaming even things are strange (i.e. my family members inside my school which doesn't make sense)
I never had the feeling of "weird" when I am having these kind of dreams, I only can analysis the problem after I am awake.
This is normal. Your subconscious does not question anything. That's why you have to become conscious in a dream.
Quoteb, During day time, I always think about lucid dreams and hoping to have one and randomly questioning myself if I am dreaming during day time, but in my dreams, these never happened to me. (doesn't work like I hope to have an iphone everyday, and I will be using one in my dream!)
Reality checks are good, but they have to be a habit.
The idea is that you get used to questioning reality, as a habit.
This helps you do it when you dream, whether you realize it's real or not. Eventually you will.
Something that helps with reality checks (and you should continue to do them) is to act out a test- For example, you don't say 'is this real?' you should ask- Am I dreaming? How am I thinking right now? Is everyone around me my creation? Is what's happening now some sort of symbol? This gets you to think analytically about reality, so that when you dream some of this may come through.
Affirmations should be used before bedtime- write them down, have them at your bedside, read it out loud to yourself- something like "I know that I am dreaming", or "I remember my projections".
Do keywords when you first wake up, then look at them later. This helps with the whole memory thing and with the 'conscious thinking' you have to have to get lucid.
Good luck.
