What chakra to exit into OBE state?

I had a feeling that in OBE's people always leave by the third eye chakra is this true? I can't go into the theta or even alpha state without using the third eye chakra, i just realized...and now that I have, it's much easier for me to do 

Anyways, I have read some say that they actually leave by their solar plexus but that doesn't make much sense to me right now.
My favourite author says that at the point of death one's consciousness leaves by the crown-center.
I just can't see any other way of leaving a live body than using the third-eye.

Is it still possible to go OBE using different chakras?

Use the Crown Chakra. I do, and I teach it to others. It's safe, I'm not dead yet.

I have people imagine a tube of bright white light over their head, after bringing that light into the body and cleansing out each chakra we then imagine going up into the tube of light. My first time I also imagined speeding myself along at the speed of light.. that worked brilliantly to raise awareness out of the body.

I used to exit through the heart chakra all the time, now it's moved to the third eye and possibly the crown (at least once).  And I'm still alive too.
