just wondering what an AP felt like? (If you can put it in words!)
Let it happen.

For me, on the first energy level, which is a paralell to this one in appearance and the like, it felt just like being in matter.  I made it a point to touch myself, in the non Divynyls way, to check things out.  It felt like...me.

In my first OBE I was very lucid. When I felt the vibrations, it was like I floated out of my body up to the ceiling. I wasn't aware if I had a body or not, just that I was a floating point of consciousness. I was very excited but calm at the same time.

It's very difficult to put into words. You have to try it for yourself.

Your astral body is a replica of your physical one, so you'll feel like you have arms/ legs etc. (Unless you are really at a high vibration you might just feel like a ball of energy) I've looked down to see my "legs" and the brain will try and create what it thinks it should see. So for a few seconds you might see an outline (and the outline is this bright color) of what your leg would look like. There's no way to describe it- it's such a rush being out. You can float through anything, and if you have really good control over your movements (which takes a LOT of practice) you can fly and really get up to some CRAZY high speeds. It's like being superman.

I've messed around with my physical body laying there, and that's REALLY wild. I've stuck my hand inside of my physical body with my astral hands, and it felt like I was sticking it in warm bathwater, and there was kind of this electric buzzing I could feel.

Afterwards, when you return you'll feel just total euphoria like you are high on something. This is because your brow chakra is linked to your pineal gland which secretes melatonin, which is a form of serotonin. (stuff in your brain that makes you feel happy) Sometimes this feeling can last for a couple of days. Projecting for me is kind of an addiction. (

It seems to vary with individuals,

For me,  the experience varies depending on one or two things: Intent and Energy. With insufficient Intent, I can be bored, listless and almost immobile. With low Energy, I can be clumsy and almost drunk.

When everything is right, I feel hyper- aware/sensitive/intelligent...like bondgirl3007 says, it's euphoric, both during and after...

Energy work, chakra work and Intent.

I think it does vary from one experience to the next... when I'm flying over a scene it's like "I" am only sight.. as in my body isn't felt or acknowledged. A certain euphoria accompanies that type of experience. Other times when I'm "grounded" and more interactive with my environment I can be aware and use my body to manipulate the environment, though that "rush" isn't nearly as prevalent. I think the common denominator is that your consiousness is "in the moment" and you're aware of the phenomena as it's happening.

Once you get over the sleep paralysis stuff- the weird sounds, and later how the vibrations feel, it is pretty much just a more intense version of what you feel every day.  It took me a while to get used to "thinking" movement, and being what appears to be someplace other than where your body seemed to still be- the sense of dual location.  For more descriptions of how it went for me, visit my blog seen in the signature line.

A more intense version of what you feel every day.  That's an excellent way of putting it.
