Just wondering what percentage of humans can project at least once in a while or who are working on doing it with some regularity.  Let's say age 12 and up.  I used to think very little/very few but now I'm not so sure.  Would one percent be too many?  In my whole life I've only met 2 or 3 who have talked about wanting to have an obe.

It is one of those things that sounds like a fantasy, that only crazy people would think is possible, but happens to be real. I would imagine most people who come across the idea dismiss it as some odd occult notion, and never pursue it further.

For this reason, I would imagine about 10-30% of the poplulation is familiar with the idea, but maybe 5% or less actively pursue it ever.

Hi,
Out of 10 people I've asked a similar question to.
None practise but 2 could easily do it. 4 have had unexplained experiences which fit into this field.
A larger survey may be quite revealing.
There's far more where the eye can't see.
Close your eyes and open your mind.

This is the problem, but it's not only the lack of people that want one, it's the lack of people that will talk about a strange experience that they had, due solely to the possibility of being ridiculed. I'm sure that everyone at one point or another has awoken either gasping for air or with their body in the state of paralysis. they just don't wish to admit it. But, that's their own choice, nothing wrong with that. Life goes on!  :-)

I've told a group of about 10 friends one night a few years ago when I first started this and one girl knew what astral projection was, but she didn't say she practiced it she just knew about it.
Other then that I have a few (one or two) who do enjoy their dreams and have told me about them a few times, though they don't know or practice OBE. And don't know I do either

So I would say not a lot of people. And I don't talk about it to friends because I don't want to labeled as 'crazy', but I've been starting to care less recently about them knowing or not

it's so funny because actually everybody (100% and no less) does it unconsciously anyway  :-D

In my opinion once you get into it and begin to realize the potential it becomes a necessity if you want to progress that is.  The rest of the world goes on in the dark wondering and wondering about things.

I think we can learn A LOT from our everyday lives as well though... why are we even here otherwise?

There are many kinds of knowledge, and what we profess here is only one of them.

I agree. We're in this physical world for a reason, and it's obviously built to grab all of our attention. There's no good reason for more than a handful to see past it. If the majority did, this world would probably not exist anymore. It's illusory nature is what makes it what it is.

And if you want to get into reincarnation and karma, it all makes perfect sense. Some people are here strictly for a physical experience of some sort. That's why I don't write off all perceived negative experiences as negative - they are learning experiences.

I do that every Tuesday through Thursday. It's invigorating.
