Is attempting OBEs safe?

You can acctually have more brain activity in a NDE than in sleep. sometimes, your brain activity can be reduced to about 0.5hz during DEEP sleep, Your brain still functions for a while after "physical death" a bit higher than that. Anyhow, lowered brain activity and heart rate are good for you, as opposed to dangerous or unhealthy. Theres no immediate risk when trying to astral project. Happy travels.

hey everybody.
I was just thinking/putting information together that I've noticed. First off, in order to successfully have an OBE you need to reduce your brain activity as much as possible so you only have one train of thought. You also need to be in a very relaxed state, i.e. having a slower heart rate and slower breathing rate. Also, I noticed that the most vivid/accurate/realistic OBEs are the near death experiences people have when they are close to or have passed what doctors consider (brain) death. So, I'm wondering, while OBEing or attempting to, are you really just getting your brain to an almost-dead state? And, could a really good/strong OBE leave you comatose?  just trying to figure out the mechanics of it =)

What I have learned this far with some books, is that you can not pass away if you are not ready. Meaning also OBE. We have life plan made.. Everything seems safe based on NDE's and experienced OBE makers. But are we all still fooled..? I think not, but still not 100% sure of it.
