ok hi all, im pets! and i have a short story and a few questions  :-D

a few years ago, when i was about 16-17 i started getting this buzzy feeling or noise in my head when trying to go to sleep (or being like half asleep at 3 o'clock in the day...). It freaked me out becouse sometimes the creepy feeling came with creepy creepy images... but i didnt pay much attention to this becouse i had no idea what this was (i hadnt even heared of astral projections). One night when i had had a few beers in the pub i let the buzzy feeling get as big as i could (i kinda concentrated on just the feeling itself)...
and hOLY CRAP at the peak i saw hundreds of lightning bolts hitting a city or a desert (dont remember) but it was cool and creepy and then it went black and i floated towards the ceiling... then i got a little scared and woke up...
since then i always tried to get out of my body when i could... i very often had the feeling and floated around the room but didnt get any further.

i also had lucid dreams (if thats  the dream where you do whatever you want...) in mornings
loved those too... haha i remember one time i imagined myself onto a street out of a western movie and projected out of myself while dreaming and woke up and floated away that was cool)

now for quite a long time that stuff hasnt happened to me! maybe just once i felt the feeling!!!

now my questions are: why did the buzzing start? why did it stop?!!??! howcome i never got to float further?! i really wanted to! but i was awake during and when i moved myself even a little it was over :S

*try not to flame me for being a obe n00b
thank you

Are you talking about a ringing in the ears? If so, just increase the pitch by will, and when it's loud enough...just float up and out.

You were probably experiencing hypnogogic imagery.

Maybe you were in the mind awake/body asleep state, and consciously became aware of the buzzing noise that is always there...all you have to do is move your awareness to your ears and listen.

why did it stop?!!??!

It stopped because you freaked out and moved. Next time just remain passive and don't move.

Being close to your physical body, having strong emotions, and thinking of your physical body are all things that can trigger a sudden return.
