Progress?? (vibrational stage)

Hello guys,
I am currently making a dedicated attempt at Astral Projecting. About 8 months ago, I believe I successfully had an OBE. It was in the morning and I started to enter the vibrational phase after relaxing myself. I started to see a tunnel and everything began to 'shake', as I was going through this tunnel. I managed to sit up with my astral body, but was quickly returned to my real body.

This time around I am trying to make it to the vibrational stage again, but have not quite been able to make it yet. However, lately my heart has been beating faster when I am in very deep states. Is this a sign of progress that I am close to the vibrational stages?? Also.. I am a little confused as to how I can most efficiently induce the vibrational stage.. The technique I use right now, is focusing on the blackness behind my eyes and the sounds in my ears, that is all. Is there anything I can do to have a better chance of getting into the vibrational stage, like any techniques that really gets it going for you guys??

What you have described are known as "signosts". Signposts are the possible sensations that may or may not accompany an AP attempt. You could also see them as "fears tests" of a sort. It has been found that there is no faster heart rate recorded during a AP attempt or even deep mediation/trance.

You don't need vibrations to AP. You don't need signposts of any kind for that fact. They do seem to help in the beginning though by showing you that some progress has been made. Make sure to log these results in your AP journal.

The key to the AP process is to release your focus on your physical body. How you do that is up to you. "Noticing" is a great way to do it, so is visualizing.
